Description:
A guy couldn’t ask for a better blues band to sing with.
First: Much appreciation and thanks to Neil Porter for the first rate job he did on mixing the many tracks that went into this song. It was beyond me. Neil, you took the many tracks and made them the music of a band. Also, Neil’s bass is… well Neil’s bass. It doesn’t get much better.
Thanks to Fran for cranking out some outstanding blues guitar parts. Are we surprised? Fran, thanks for making the time. Great edgy blues from Boston’s best.
Patrick… hmmm. You may need to quit the Church job (OK-a leave of absence) and go on tour with your own blues band. I have wanted for quite some time to collab with you. Your soulful B3 stands out. Thank you brother Futz.
David. I had no idea how much drum loops can really sound, well… REAL. I keep picturing you playing the drums when I play this song. I feel lucky and honored that you jumped in on this little collab.
This is just a good old fashion, fun, full of some great music blues song. I originally sent this to Neil for bass. He suggested the other three. We quickly (and wisely) dropped my guitar part with Fran taking over all in that department. David jumped in and with his parts started to make this sound like there was a band playing. Patrick… adding his organ completed the deal. Thanks again guys.

... a heap of fun to do - a producer's dream really. Jack's song just screamed out for "the treatment", and Fran, Patrick and David were more than obliging in making this happen. One of the wonders of MJ for me is being able to ask some of the more accomplished players here for help, and get it without question. I haven't had the chance to play with people of this calibre for many many years - I just wish we'd all been in the same room doing it!
Thanks Jack for asking me to do the bass and for letting me twiddle the knobs!!

recorded enough nuances in their tracks to fill a couple of songs. Neil had the task of editing and bringing it all together. He did it, didn't he!

to listen to. If I can't be in the band, can I be a roadie or something? The sound says "fun". The drums are amazingly real sounding, and the real players are all screaming talents. Up until a couple days ago I was the roadie for this band. The lead singer had to go back into rehab, so they gave me a shot. So there just so happens to be an opening for a roadie. The pay isn't that great but you get to hang out with the groupies (OK, we don't have any groupies yet, but we're working on it!)...

Great too hear you have a super-group supporting you Jack! Your vocals are worth it! You should have these guys around your residence. would be dangerous all in the same room together - y'all need to book a gig someplace and make it a HAPPENIN'! This has such a live feel, and knowing what cross-country collaboration it took to pull it together makes it even that much more amazing. This is a feast for the ears - wonderful performances from all involved. I realise that I am playing catch up with you guys as I have just joined MJ's but the talent I am hearing is absolutely inspirational.
What a great performance by each one of you and Neil, great job on the end production. Can you imagine trying to explain how you made this track to the original blues makers back in the day.
