Cool new direction for you here. &mdash 03/11/07 - 10:40:14 PM
Really like change alt rock into something different. That's not a comment on your past postings - just a way of recognizing what's going on here. I find it hard to break into new territory, and you've done a great job here.

Great mix on this, by the way; thank you for clarifying a lot of my mush.

Before I go back to sleep &mdash 03/13/07 - 04:15:36 AM
This will be my soundtrack. It's seems fitting since I love mathematics.
I wasn't expecting the singing that occurred before the outro guitar solo. Very cool sound collage/collab/song. It's rich in sound.

You're in that rare company... &mdash 03/14/07 - 08:25:49 PM
...among MacJammers, which for me includes katchoolik, Macaudion, and Mungo, who get me hearing and thinking about music differently...

I love the distorted guitars in this, but I also enjoy the deep bass drum, the vocals, the bass line... All the intertwining is really neat...

Like a driving wheel &mdash 03/15/07 - 12:13:04 AM
I instantly like your choice of drum loop - its like a turning mechanism onto which sounds get dragged and turned around inside the machine and come out as new transformations.Interesting noises but subtle.Yeah - like sound sculpture,I really get into that - metallic, glass, liquid textures - all culminating in a really quite intense track. If I still took as many vices as I used to be able to,this would inspire me to create a series of abstract artworks.good stuff - I could happily listen to an albums worth of your work in my spare time,RG

Hey Pad,
Thanks for dropping in. I just listened to Cuckoo Song and read your life story. Nice stuff. Love the part about the giant mermaid sculpture---see I DID read all of it! Reminded me of when I worked on an archeological dig on an uninhabitied island off of Crete in college. Incredibly natural and inspirational.

Excellent &mdash 03/15/07 - 12:44:45 PM
Great collab love the beats and strange robotics. Its realy good the way you sculpt the guitar and other instruments over the chaos of electronic undertones.
The lyrics are very interesting . Overall a great song!!!

experimental &mdash 03/15/07 - 11:15:29 PM
Ego, I am happy you dig. My collabs w/ sonny jim definitely stretch my aesthetic from my usual faire. Being a visual artist, I approach music like building a painting, pieces at a time with curiosity about what it will sound like in the end. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Sonny's electronic jibs and jabs really set the tone and give it that level of un-comfortability that I think works.

.... as usual. Looking at the votes, there must be somone out there who hates maths ;) Very well put together. Impressive use of sounds and rhythm to create mood. Did I mention the great production?

yeah, mr. sonnyjim gave me the heads up today that someone bombed us. Well, I guess it's the price you pay for enabling voting....But my faith in the inherent goodness of the human spirit lives on! Good to see you here jig.

very very cool Philip &mdash 03/15/07 - 11:32:46 PM
i must not be very good at math because i lost count of all the cool bits and pieces going on. another excellent piece. but i know we both can count to three since thats how you post em. then again three is the common ground in advertising as well.

I like this &mdash 03/17/07 - 01:57:56 AM
I really like this lovely soundscape. Makes my ears dance on your sound bed of complimentary sounds and textures. Catchy rhythm. The lyrics are good also, sparse, but a great addition to the song.

Hey, I thought you might like this one. Kinda up your alley with the experimental vocal blips and blaps that sonnyjim has layered in. Thanks for the listen.

The blips and blaps are great &mdash 03/21/07 - 08:47:27 PM
This is a very cool construction. The beat is engaging and the vocals and sounds that visit, walk through, and stand around are all very interesting. I love all the very electronic sounding touches in there.

Psiera &mdash 04/08/07 - 07:55:18 PM
The dig was on the island of Psiera off the northern coast. We lived in a little fishing village called Mochlos for two months over 2 summers. My drawings of the site are actually in the Library of Congress, the one thin feather in my cap from my grad school years. I love Crete and would love to return on day.....
