Description:
I just noticed that I had the wrong version of this song uploaded here, so i had to fix it. It's too bad too, because it had a kind comment.
Although this is still not finished, (the last 1/4 is still a little vacant, draggy and self-indulgent) I'm happier with this than the previous posting.
I also changed the spelling because I'm Canadian, and Plow just doesn't work for me. It's like colour or flavour with no U.
anyway, forgive me for rambling.
If you didn't like this before, don't bother listening because the changes are subtle. Better solo, more logical vocal layers in the end, etc...

Lyrics:
All lyrics taken from the brilliant poetry of William Blake

The cistern contains; the fountain overflows.
Expect poison from standing water.
Drive your cart and plough over bones...

The worm forgives the plough.

The just man kept his course upon the vale of death.
The nakedness of woman is the work of God.

The worm forgives the plough.

Those who restrain desire do so because theirs is weak enough to be restrained.

Here's another kind comment for you ... &mdash 03/14/07 - 10:12:44 AM
I came here because I saw the title and wondered if it was a reference to Blake's magnificent Proverbs of Hell! I absolutely love Blake, he's one of my muses and I've been planning to do something like this myself for a long time.

What's really weird though is that this particular proverb (the cut worm forgives the plough) has been popping into my head over and over again this week. And I've only just started to properly understand it (though like most of Blake's ideas it has multiple levels of meaning) so I'm really glad I found this.

And what a treat it is too! You've tapped into the flow of imagination well and truly and created something very powerful and soaring. The vocals are fabulous. The wild improv is superb. The blending in of samples is masterly. You've captured it absolutely spot on. Consider me sincerely a fan!

And the "plough" spelling is the right one anyway, since that's how we spell it in England too...

think that the end is self-indulgent at all. it's actually my favorite part of the song. really nice.
