As you might well have noticed... electronica doesn't get a
whole ton of attention on this site, for one reason or
another. Songs like this one, however, certainly should.

The only thing worse than bad comments, are NO
comments.

A little Autechre in your influences list, no? This is pretty
minimal, but it's courageous in that regards, and original
as well. It's tempting to just lay down the first cool beat
that sparks your interest... and, quite obviously, you've
totalled avoided that. I guess that is what makes it
'Ambient'. This is totally Peel Session.

The end is scary. I feel like it's a great building, and at the
last moment, the screen flickers and you think you see the
devil.

Great intro to your stuff, this was to me. Now I gotta go
back and listen to your whole index!

btw, didn't really mean for things to be 'scary'.. just a little different (must be
a 'mac' thing)

Is this what they call Powernoise? &mdash 08/26/04 - 01:06:39 AM
Never was sure. I'm not super sure I have an
appreciation for this kind of music, but the layering
and effects are wonderful! Great job!

Waaay cool! &mdash 08/26/04 - 03:40:32 AM
Bang-on engineering and audio sensibilities in this piece. Really wonderful spaces created. Very creative. Very interesting sounds and gestures. I've no idea how to vote on it, but I've downloaded this piece for sure!

thanks packo & chiko &mdash 08/26/04 - 11:17:30 PM
btw, you guys rock! the playing with panning & dupe tracks are a direct
result of chikoppi's comments on previous songs-glad you got to take a
listen

This is an art piece... &mdash 09/02/04 - 11:39:57 PM
and that's the only way to make 'em. The only way for
formulaic hackers like me to get any better, is to listen to
stuff like this and learn. Not that formulaic music isn't art,
but it's art within a box. This is art with no boundaries
and I dig it. Keep 'em coming. Reminds me of stuff I hear
on echoes on Sunday night.

mind blowing &mdash 09/25/04 - 10:15:27 PM
I think my head just peeled open, in slow
motion...this one opens up worlds...wow... great
sounds, I can't say enough about it...and I'm not just
being nice and cordial... this one ranks high in any
book.

Crazy... &mdash 09/28/04 - 09:20:10 PM
Crazy in that good way. I really liked this Ambient/Electronica tune. lol
Btw, the ending was awesome (not so scary). :D

crap! &mdash 10/13/04 - 01:38:20 PM
this is nice. this a great example of genreless
electronic music. this is a great example of the way
dill complements fish....

there really isn't any movement here, but it isn't
static. it's like, closed circuit dynamism.

i'm not too sure about the saw tone on the end, but i
like this for it's meat, not it's feet.

good work

Love your work _nderscore &mdash 10/19/04 - 09:17:32 PM
I'm pretty new to this site but I kept seeing your handle turning up and had to checkout some of your stuff.

It's all to easy to try and skip ahead during the playback of songs to get to the "good" bits but this tune made me listen all the way through. Nice sounds.

Congrats.

I like this &mdash 11/17/04 - 05:43:49 AM
I like experimental songs like this. The value was in the
originality of sounds, and concept. Good job.

Nice colors &mdash 05/25/05 - 11:23:57 PM
I just got to this one and, wow, very cool. Parts made me think of "Phaedra" by Tangerine Dream, if you've ever heard of that. I like that kind of meditative pulsing electronic wave, and it's really well done here. --D

Anti 4 &mdash 10/18/05 - 01:47:04 PM
What is it you have against the number 4? Can't we all just get along? This
is a delightful composition that is just scarey enough to make me look
over my shoulder. Crispy sparkling sounds that suggest the end of human
dominance is creeping near..... I can even hear the drones rounding up
the moaning humans. It's wonderful. I am very much Pro Anti 4.

A great track. I've already added it to my mix of favorite MJ songs that I
listen to. Nice ambiant and low key feel. great production.

Legs! &mdash 12/13/05 - 11:53:34 AM
Just wanted to drop a note to say that 17 months later this song is still
in my "essential" iTunes playlist, which means I hear it at least once
every 72 hours or so. It appeared again just now. I love the subtleties
and space in this as much as the overall fluttering, thumping character.
Very unique!
