So pretty... &mdash 03/25/07 - 08:22:54 AM
and the delicate strings add to the beauty. I can see the sun rising on the horizon in the last notes. :-)

I think... &mdash 03/25/07 - 03:56:32 PM
...that, between your touch on the piano, and the sounds that you are getting from Ivory, you could probably record yourself playing a nice clean G major chord and I'd fave it...

However, that situation is not going to occur, because right alongside your gift as a player you have a gift for writing/composing and just generally musical thinking and feeling...

This is a very sweet and peaceful piece, well suited for reflection and musing on a springtime morning...

I continue to be grateful that I happened on your music on whatever day I did, Paul, and have been able to enjoy each piece as they have appeared... Good stuff...

Nice way to begin the week &mdash 03/26/07 - 03:40:08 AM
I'm wondering if you should market this for relaxation classes (maybe you already do).

Excellent stuff, wonderfully subtle and light.

Cheers

Graceful and elegant &mdash 03/26/07 - 09:07:32 AM
Very pretty, like a faraway lyrical memory. Very mainstream, solid and balanced and well crafted, without surprises. Hushed and elegant. Well done, again.

I thought this piece was perfect.... &mdash 03/27/07 - 12:06:07 PM
I thought that this piece was perfect for the start of any day.

There were, in my minds eye (and ear) feelings of Michel Legrand. Not in chord sequence (especially near the end) but in that 'Windmills of my Mind' came to mind.

All in all a really enjoyable piece of music.

Take care.

Paul.

Sunday Morning &mdash 05/10/07 - 08:56:07 AM
Complacencies of the pegnoir, and late
Coffee and oranges in a sunny chair,
And the green freedom of a cockatoo
Upon a rug mingle to dissipate
The holy hush of ancient sacrifice.
She dreams a little, and she feels the dark
Encroachment of that old catastrophe,
As a calm darkens among water-lights.
The pungent oranges and bright, green wings
Seem things in a procession of the dead,
Winding across wide water, without sound.
The day is like wide water, without sound,
Stilled for the passing of her dreaming feet
Over the seas, to silent Palestine,
Dominion of the blood and sepulchre.

Wallace Stevens

This is my favorite stanza of his poem, "Sunday Morning." I hereby deem this song the official music for Stevens's poem. Paul, I think I speak for everyone here when I say that thank you alone does not express our gratitude for your sharing your gift of music with us all. Your music has not only been a blessing to the ear, but moreover to the spirit and to the mind, and I'm deeply greatful for that. You are truly an ambassador to all things good and pure. Again, thank you for this music and for setting the tone (the anchor) to one of my favorite poems of all time . . . if you were aware of it or not. Peace be with you, friend.
