Description:
Another track that I've been playing around with for ages, never knowing when to consider it done .... here goes.

Lyrics:
What happens next ain’t up to me
I’m waiting for your call
Don’t hesitate - re-state your case
Though the writing’s on the wall
Could the time be right to compromise
Take a chance to seize the prize

I kid myself I don’t regret
You walking out on me
But you know it’s true I’m missing you
And I guess it’s plain to see
It was my mistake to say goodbye
With a flippant smile to hide the lie

The more I learn the less I know
So tell me - are you friend or foe?
Should I stay or should I go?

Thing’s were slowly getting better
Or so it seemed to me
The fire and ice that once prevailed
No longer there to see
But I don’t mind what people say
It’s one small price you have to pay …

The more I learn the less I know
So tell me - are you friend or foe?
Should I stay or should I go?

What happens next ain’t up to me
I’m waiting for your call
Don’t hesitate - re-state your case
Though the writing’s on the wall
Could the time be right to compromise
Take a chance to seize the prize

Stellar electric lead phrases &mdash 03/27/07 - 08:57:42 AM
Such wonderful guitar work, it really heightens the track, great guitar. I like the stalker-like vocals too. My biggest critique is the use of what sound like occasional piano loops, over-used ones, that don't even serve the track that much (left side, during verses); consider replacing the piano with comping that matches the hipness light jazz feel of the track, maybe even adding a Brazilian feel, in keeping with the cool New age arpeggios you sometimes use; maybe even electric piano. Also, consider using lighter jazz drum loops, maybe mixed with something more latin. Again, your understated vocals let the stellar guitar shine thru. Great strat work.
