Peace (104)
Description:
This song, hm, just came to me, they don't all do, some of them are a lot of work but is one of thus that just "sits there". This is the kind of a song I live for, though they rarely happens. I also need to apologize to all of them whom I've neglected as of lately, new songs (although I've downloaded I haven't had the time to comment), to thus who has commented on my last song (I will get to it soon), to SISTERS (I am still working on the song), to my mom (I will write soon), to my landlord (ir doesn't look good with next month rent)...etc.

Lyrics:
This Song

Time to welcome spring now, time to sing.
Time to put away, that old cold winter thing.
Time to welcome you sun, time to rise and shine.
Time to hug a tree now, time to twist and shout.

She walks down in the park, in her purple sun-hat.
She finds a group of people, and she joins them in their chant:
We want peace now!, We want peace now!
Join us young lady, help us save our sun.

Is that a bird in that tree?

This song, is as happy as can be.
This song, wants to make everything free.
This song, is not just a dream.
This song, is whatever it wants to be.

He sitting on a mountain, a city cries below.
Looks beautiful from up there; but truth is rarely pure.
He picks a few flowers, and bring them to his mom.
Because mothers are the key to one and all of us.

They meet in the park, his eyes drown in hers.
They're moving like grass as drums starts to swirl:
We want love now! We want love now!
We want to dance and sing and chant and live forever.

Is that a bird in that tree?

This song, is as happy as can be.
This song, wants to make everything free.
This song, is not just a dream.
This song, is whatever it wants to be.

What a wonderful song! &mdash 03/27/07 - 07:48:48 PM
It was 75 degrees today and I walked home from work through Prospect Park. I was listening to my iPod, but soon turned it off to hear the birds and kids playing. This song captures the simple joy of that walk perfectly. Great arrangement - really pretty amazing. It's wonderful when a song just blooms so fully and naturally as this. Great work.

You sounded like Peter Gabriel back in the Genesis days when you sang that like! :O)

Nice lyrics and very nicely sung. Really like the use of keyboards on this one - not overpowering at all like on so many rock tracks.

Ooh, the organ is Genesis too. You MUST be a fan?

LOVE IT! Thumbs up!

Magic Happy &mdash 03/30/07 - 06:37:59 PM
Knowing that you had a kind of rough year, it's wonderful to hear such an insanely happy song from you. There should be a law that every other song in the world should be at least this happy and, on Saturdays, EVERY song has to be this happy.

Tight songwriting, terrific vocals and backing vox and I love the music box, too. Also, this is an absolutely mesmerizing piece of song art, though I don't have I clue what it's a photo of.

I'm a huge fan of your music!

- I am afraid I am not, but perhaps I will be. I haven't been listening to a lot of early GENESIS nor any other GENESIS for that matter, but plenty of other stuff around that time... I've always admired Peter Gabriel however, not as a fan, but more so like everytime I hear a song by him, I just go wow with his creativity, passion and knowledge...

LOVE IT! Thumbs up!

- Thank you!!!

- Thank you dear. I am happy if I can make you happy, it's that simple. The photo, I am sure if you view it side ways you can figure it out! ;)
A huge FAN, that is huge words but they means everything to me!

Thank you, all of you! Peace! Mikki

"a city cries below/Looks beautiful from up there/but truth is rarely pure" and "moving like grass" stood out for me as mikki marvels. you, sir, are seriously infecting the world with happiness - or at least MY part of it.
