Description
Just tried to solo over the track by TheWireman, got a little carried away. Bryan, I am not sure, if this is what you envisioned or expected, when giving the tack up for grabs, neither that it is still qualify as blues...
I hope you like it... :)

wow...
Yea, sort of: plungers don't work with saxes (too many holes for the sound to come out), so I used GB's "wow" effect.
Thanks :)

How do you control GB's "WOW" effect?

wow...
Just fiddled with manual settings, until I started to hear something I could live with. I presume, the settings will be very different for different acoustic instruments/mic setups...

Wow 2
what a great effect on that sax!
This is a great track. I like the mellow rythym and that sax
is jammin nicely...It's almost singing

well done to both of you

Maybe it's just my system
but this occasionally distorts on my audio system. I
couldn't help but about half way want to hear another
instrument share the solo "spot-light". I think that a play
between two or more soloists could really make this piece
go to a whole new place, not unlike McBoy's "Unwashed",
still my favorite song on this entire site. [Kept wanting to
add my own solo, too :)] Anyway... GREAT sound though,
and this is just a quibble to get you from GREAT to
FANTASTIC. Nicely done.

Thank you :)
It sounds clean in my $9.99 Sony headphones, no distortion (I mean, no unplanned distortion, I tried to keep the "wow' effect tamed) - I don't have what I would consider a decent sound system, so I really can't judge...
I would add another instrument, if I played one :). I am all for it, but since the original track is not mine, I don't think, I am at liberty to request collaboration on this piece.
Gudkarma has his version with vocal out as well, a very interesting one, too.

Cool
Really, a unique sax ad lib solo with...with what a neat effect, Wow! iGStudio, you have a great touch and feel as you slide over the tenor keys, putting out some mesmerizing sounds.

Smooth and slinky
What a great audio concept. The whole thing had me
sold, hook line and slinky, until the MIDI horn coda
section that clashed with the guitar chord progression at
the end. Once the guitar faded out it was ok, but
changing a few notes on the vamp would have settled it
into the progression better? Still, that wah wah sax is SO
COOL. Great feel and sound. Excellent playing.

Smooth and slinky
Thank you, :)
You are right (as usual), coda does conflict with the chords somewhat. I might change it a bit (it's too long, too) when I recover from this surge of creativity :)

YESSSSS!
Fantastic iG. Just fantastic. I can't stop smiling. The stabs
at the end give me goosebumps.

I didn't "envision or expect" anything like this. I'm not that
imaginative.

Excellent work, fella.

Great Saxpet playing
Good trip man, very unique even over the little minor
confict points. you have a good feel for the blues.

There was room in the background for a simple basic
reinforcing sax rythem of; do do, do wa, for a little more
enlargement and maybe masking in a couple of segments.

enjoyed it after the third play though.......stay cool

Cool, VERY cool!

Songs always conjure up visual images for me. This one
reminds me of the "Cantina Band" scene in the first Star
Wars epic, strange wild space instruments playing in the
lounge.

I never would have guessed it was a sax! Other than the
very occasional distortion, transforming your sound with
the "wow" effect was, well....WOW.

Nice collab!

Thank you, it was a fun little project :) I tried to work on the distortion (the
new version is here), I think it's not there anymore, or I just don't hear it :(---

cool
The sound wah wah is super (a light limitation of dynamics in the acute ones would have been well I think) I like really much this piece.
Je le place dans mes favoris.

Thank you. I did it so long ago, I almosy forgot what it sounds like... It was fun (and I did fix the horns finally, just don't have it out yet)

Long story (waaay too long), and not very interesting. Just listen to the tunes. Some video (why not?): this is Dar (you can hear her on La Maladie, I Wonder How You Are, Empty City Blues and Nostalgic Bossa) and I forced to perform a capella (nob... [see more]
