As always... &mdash 03/31/07 - 07:08:56 AM
..astonishing. What kind of music is your favourite?. Your melodies are so nice and such a marvellous mix. I hear so many interesting waves from spanish tunes over Beethoven to Chopin and good old jazz and so much more. It is very well balanced. I like this very much, because it is mixed in a way, that it has gotten a new, own wonderful mood.
Nice to hear.
One of the wonderful features of an e-piano is to play in the middle of the night, the whole family is sleeping and not disturbed. It is difficult to plug in a headphone in a real piano....

Thank you for sharing and greetings from Germany!

Hi Bernd &mdash 03/31/07 - 04:56:52 PM
some of my earliest memories from childhood are listening to Beethoven's 5th at full volume (my Dad) at night with the lights out and the summer rain in the background....still can play it in me head by memory. Chopin has also been one of my all time heroes. Music is so wonderful that the exposure to a variety of composers and styles produces always new themes and melodies.....and all from just 12 notes!
greetings from California

Not only dreamy, &mdash 03/31/07 - 11:42:07 AM
but at times a joyful mood overflows the piece, which dreams and romanticism should aspire to.

Another fabulous composition Enrique.

God bless,

Rick

great exuberant fun &mdash 03/31/07 - 01:44:36 PM
Your speeding/slowing is great, and the really interesting bass line and unique meter, and the "you thought I would go here but I went there" style chord progressions, and the romp from Lizst to Rachmaninoff to Ragtime to Jazz is refreshing. Your compositions always put a smile on my face, thank you!

Ahhh...the joyous and crystalline tones of Enrique Gil....I am awed by your skill and sensitivity. It is truly a gift from above and one for which I am grateful! I feel privileged to be able to sit here and listen to you play for free! DREAM ON my friend!

Be well!

omg &mdash 04/02/07 - 04:32:19 PM
you write with such complex flavor one usually only gets listening to the masters. The technique and melody developement are awesome.
Do you write this all out, or do you just play it? would love to know how your creative process get going. Remarkable

I am grateful for you comments. I just sit down and play and play until I hear something I really like. If I don't like it, I delete it and play it again until it sounds good to me. The problem is that you may do it for hours on end and before you know it is early morning and time to get up and go to work (not good!). At any rate is a lot of fun and I am glad my fellow macjammers think so too. I do have the music score in Logic Express though.Imagine if Bach would have had Garage Band!

Now it's a bit of Beethoven... &mdash 04/03/07 - 08:24:27 AM
...mixed in. Some Chopin. Even Bill Evans.

And some Albeniz far in the background...

All wrapped up into a lot of you.

Wowwwwwww.....

Hello from Enrique &mdash 04/05/07 - 12:31:59 AM
I was thinking of Beethoven at the the beginning of the melody, and although I know is a poor imitation of him, it was still rewarding and enjoyable for me to write it and share it with all of you. Thank you man!
