Description
an old minimalist cutesy poppy tune, this time from 1991-1992. It's one of my favorite Hamlet machines songs, for some reasons. I wrote the lyrics and Brentford plays and sings. The beat comes from a film reel tin box and a car key (!!!). It's very amateurish, which I don't mind in itself, but the background hissing is really too much. If someone can explain me how to filter this down, I'd be grateful.

Lyrics
I think you can wait forever
what you wait for me to whisper
and yes I've seen her again
a swan
if I ever saw one
and no no no
since you ask me now
it was all in vain
again:
"Oh you never said no, did you
never to anyone ever
and if what they all say is true
you've been everybody's lover
Oh my god what can I do
to be like you want them to ?"
She had the same dress that you wear
oh but on her it looked better
and yes I have tried to speak
a child
in the way she smiled
a whore
with a sense of humour
she made me feel old and weak
"Oh you never said no to anyone
ever never to anyone ever
say, why tell no to someone
just because he loves you better"
there must be a heaven above
for all the girls we ever love
but there should be a hell inside
for all the girls we've never had
what you wait for me to whisper
and yes I've seen her again
a swan
if I ever saw one
and no no no
since you ask me now
it was all in vain
again:
"Oh you never said no, did you
never to anyone ever
and if what they all say is true
you've been everybody's lover
Oh my god what can I do
to be like you want them to ?"
She had the same dress that you wear
oh but on her it looked better
and yes I have tried to speak

with a sense of humour
she made me feel old and weak
"Oh you never said no to anyone
ever never to anyone ever

just because he loves you better"

I had your knack for tin-box percussion and mixing on a phonograph.
