Keywords:
mechanism (3)the (187)glare (8)of (70)day (37)theglareofday (1)the glare of day (1)
Description:
a song about the false world around us....it is everywhere....hidden right in front of you.....

btw....our album is for sale on iTunes.....peace

Lyrics:
Feeding, from the infrastructure
Defeated, the bank has broke
Establish, we are your peasant trash
Countless, and best unheard

Killed by your situation
Part of The Mechanism

Make way, the grid a great expense
To be free, take what your sold
It's normal, we're so much better off
And supervised, to keep our mouths shut as we choke down the lies

Killed by your situation
Part of The Mechanism

what if they're watching you?
fully prepared to shoot

Sweating for the wire

what if they're watching you?
fully prepared to shoot

Throw us on the fire

what if they're watching you?
fully prepared to shoot

we are much to, close to our dares
I can't give you, blood from these stones

what to do??

Just wanted to say that I enjoyed your song. Think you have a relly good sound. (Foo Fighter-ish)...
Great vocals and lyrics. Bass could be up a bit louder, but it could be the headphones I'm using.

great stuff as always Ian &mdash 04/04/07 - 09:27:00 AM
Love the line "Establish, we are your peasant trash."

Great production, nice clarity, and I love the tom-tom drum work in the beginning of the song.

Nice glide &mdash 04/04/07 - 08:52:23 PM
and soaring sound here, perpetual motion... great climax at the end.

awesome stuff Ian .. &mdash 04/05/07 - 05:50:06 PM

phenomenal on all instruments and really catchy to boot .. that returning guitar riff with the drums in between the vocal lines is a great hook. Radio song.
You got the blend of influences just right here too .. to me not
one influence stands out 'too prominently', makes for
a new sound, kinda Foo-fighters drumming, Creed on guitars and Jesus Jonesy on vocals - GREAT!!!
On the mix: very small nitpicks (needless
to say) .. I think the bass and lead vocals could come
up a fraction, as the words are just a little hard to make out, which is usually a sign and the fade out at the end is a bit quick - I'd go for the feedbacking guitar impromptu 'clunk' it down ending myself ;o)
Respect is due ..perfect for a mainstream movie with conspiracies, political intrigues or modern world paranoia.

Wow! This is a hooooj sounding song and your production ability has moved forward another mile, Ian.

I agree with the comments about the bass, but especially about the vocals. I found the lyrics almost impossible to understand, which isn't a big thing with this type of music, but you're a good writer and "sweating for the wire," is a good line that would be cool if people heard. I kind of think that, because of how polished this is that it might be the final mix, though. Not that it's really a big deal. The overall impression the song leaves is of having my face rocked off, which is kind of the point.

One person's peasant trash is another's artistic treasure &mdash 04/06/07 - 07:58:08 AM
Nice. Well produced. Flawlessly performed; controlled yet edgy. An impressionistic social protest song, should be a new iTunes genre!

Jeez I had to swallow my balls after that. Great energy. Terrific driving song. Can't see how this could be improved as it's it's perfect self. Mighty Stuff.

Good energy, almost a live type sound. The vocals need some eq to help with clarity (or maybe a different mic). Not sure, but good overall.
