Hello Bob &mdash 04/04/07 - 09:17:27 AM
Thank you for the comment from New York City.
I do not have the experience of still visiting the fifth street.
I want to visit once by all means.

Playful &mdash 04/04/07 - 10:53:59 AM
Like faeries playing between tired end-of-the-day subway passengers, unseen and full of whimsy. Dances on the edge of random flight, yet always finds its back from the edge. Multi-personality, energetic yet romantic and, in the end, incomplete... as if the faeries simply disappear, on to their next scene of impish amusement. Magical.

I am whether this vehicle is a New York municipal management subway cannot be
judged.
However, it is in the United States of America.
Thank you very much.

Magically Great &mdash 04/04/07 - 11:35:32 AM
Wonderful as usual, Mr. Togawa. Thank you for the magical journey. Tobin's idea of fairies in the subway tunnel is definitely a good one and I also really loved the drums.

A wonderful piece of Fusion... &mdash 04/04/07 - 12:45:35 PM
I loved this piece of music. Jazz Fusion with that modern feel.

Movement, contrast and style were all present in abundance.

At least it could be d/l'd easily, unlike some other JF-genre mixes on here.

Paul.

When I see an email... &mdash 04/06/07 - 12:40:40 PM
...alerting me of a new song, posted by Tadashi Togawa, I usually download and favorite it first, and then listen... works all the time. :)

Thank you for listening to the music of New York.
It is a town where you live.

I imagine.... &mdash 04/07/07 - 08:52:40 AM
...one of those subway rides where, despite, or maybe even because of, the rhythmic noise of the train going into the tunnel, one falls into a sort of peaceful dream as the lights go by... And perhaps there's one of those moments when the train emerges from underground and suddenly there are the lights of the city...

I once again enjoy the cascading shimmer of Tadashi-notes, and I really like the full ripple of the bass notes beneath. If that's MIDI bass, it sounds very bass-like to these ears.

always &mdash 04/10/07 - 04:22:00 PM
so well done and pro sounding. ala the group "the rippingtons", but more intense. LUV that organ sound...pls tell me where hence it comes from...so warm, and the synth lead was fuzzy goodness. Super smoooth. Guitar is excellent (as always). Who did the bass?

YsaeK made bass.
This bass is certainly good.
Thank you very much.

Balanced &mdash 04/11/07 - 09:20:07 AM
A beautifully balanced work. Every part is in balance with the others. The guitar work is wonderful as always, but so are the other solos. You mention above that the bass is performed by YsaeK; did he also play the keyboards and drums? It is an excellent composition. The 5/4 meter is very interesting... seems like it was fun to play along with.

At about 1:05 there is a brief guitar arpeggio that I think is overdubbed with itself in harmony (i.e. two arpeggios played at the same time) -- it's got a kind of "out there" quality that sometimes comes up in your music that I love -- and I liked it so much that I wished it (or something like it) would happen again!

All in all, a spectacular piece of music that deserves all 10's in my sometimes humble opinion.

Better and better &mdash 04/11/07 - 08:30:10 PM
Tadashi, you have such a gentle hand on this. Beautifully played and extraordinarily well produced, All instruments shine, but the bass here is really outstanding. Organ and guitars so well played, and as usual the drums are absolutely as good as it gets.
Excellent post (again!).

Hi Tadashi! &mdash 04/15/07 - 02:59:36 PM
I think that your piece of song is really good. It sort of reminds me of being on a subway and stopping at every place. It just literally makes you feel like you're being pulled into the music. It is a very good song, and I rated it highly.

Sincerely,

This has a very cool &mdash 05/28/07 - 07:32:14 AM
avant garde sound whcih you are really good add.

You have a very indepth musical jazzy vocabulary. Lots of syncopation-funkness.

Crystal clear leads going all over the place. Plus add the incredible percussion. You are one talented guy Tad!
