Lyrics
Your Tiny Skinny Finger

If I close my eyes
right here right now,
would it take me back
to that summer when I was little?
I would have talked to you more
without being shy

I touch your tiny skinny finger
with my finger gently
Instead of saying thank you
I fold our fingers together tightly
wishing you could hear me
My mother watches you over
without saying anything
I can't bear it it's too big
I just keep calling you

If one day
I could become a father myself
I would tell my children
One day.. a day like this will come
and you should keep doing your best
so you can face the moment
with no regrets

I touch your tiny skinny finger
with my finger gently
Instead of saying thank you
I fold our fingers together tightly
wishing you could hear me
My mother watches you over
without saying anything
I can't bear it it's too big
I just keep calling you

I did not come here to say goodbye
No, it's not too late

I touch your tiny skinny finger
with my finger gently
Instead of saying thank you
I fold our fingers together tightly
wishing you could hear me
My mother watches you over
without saying anything
I can't bear it it's too big
I just keep calling you

wowee
you've done some ambitious and brave stuff here - those transitions to the high vocals are awesome. as a whole, this is as unique as i've heard in a loooooong time. glad you checked out Marty's Mother tune, and that i checked out yours. it's a sweet and strong celebration of Staying and Going. lovely! anne

Master pop writer
JH, you write and perform so consistently well, and this is certainly no exception - love the tight bass/kick thing happening here - really good production. I sure hope you're making some money out of these great songs in Japan!
Cheers,
Neil

Great!
Neil's right, you should be making some money of your music.
Your stuff is much better than much of the music I hear on the radio these days.

Beautiful work!

I hear the poetry (in tranlation)
Loud and clear. As much as I was aware of making the most of our time, there are inevitable regrets when it's too late. Well said Mr. Hairdo.

thanks everyone!
my grandmother has passed away on the 2nd of May after a month of fighting in the hospital. but i managed to meet her when she was awake 2 days before her heart gave up and stopped.
it was heartbreaking to see her lifeless body and see my mother crying. but i AM happy that i did say good-bye to her in my own way with this song before she went to heaven.
thanks everyone for your kind message!
