you're right I was listening to the Cure at the time. the guitar sounds like anything on Pornography (it's the chorus effect). I always have had a week spot for the goth/glam/80's stuff. funny thing is: at the time I thought it was bubblegum for little girls, and it was my guilty pleasure. Cool This is a little gem. What sets you apart is vocal style and melodic integrety. Also I like the way you mix every thing. while others are looking for high fidelity (ear piercing..... see article about how mastering is killing music) you offer up subtlety. thanks for the kind words.it's funny that you point out mixing, since I feel that is my weakest area. i usually don't have the patience to sit down and get anything "perfect." generally just try and get the sounds that I want when recording, then do a quick mix (most would probably consider it a rough or scratch mix). as long as I can hear everything, and the sentiment is coming through, i'm cool with it. although I would love to get better at vocal mixing (sometimes my levels are all over the place).
