Description
Another "pure pop for now people" type of song. Picture an indie 60's motown harmony acid freak out.
this song also features Scott and Io (my pop band of choice).

recorded on my friends pro-tools rig. this was the first song we cut that day, so we hadn't perfected the mic placement yet. plus the action on the Rhodes almost killed me; i've since gotten used to it.

I dig the retro feel, the vocal stylings, the step back in time nostalgia. Happy track. Nice electric piano choice. In my ears, the percussion is maybe too repetitively programmed, maybe slightly hyperactive, for the easy happy feel of the piece; for example, the tambourine shakes are frenetic, I'd rather picture Davy Jones just having fun; and even tho the cymbals sound really good, I know from my own stuff they rarely work on a MIDI track. The synth swell solos made me smile. Solid writing. I really enjoyed the unabashedly 60s pop feel. Paisley bellbottoms all over, with a psychedelic kaleidoscopic ending (the party must have continued after the lyrics stopped)!
