Like a demo &mdash 08/12/04 - 10:09:21 AM
There is a song in here, but this seems more like a demo
track, like you were just putting down ideas and the final
cut is coming later. It didn't go as many places as I
thought it was going to, or as many places as the feel led
me to hope for. Your use of solos strings at the end was
wonderful; if they were loops, you placed them perfectly.
Sounded like you had a string quartet playing just for you.
A little George Martin moment.

good stuff &mdash 08/12/04 - 05:40:58 PM
You have a great voice, man. I find your stuff very listenable and relistenable.

Awesome potential! &mdash 08/12/04 - 07:23:52 PM
great sound - moody with a groove. I love the bass line (synth?) and voice, and you write very intelligent lyrics too. The acoustic guitar is perfectly subtle. My only complaint, as Tobin suggested, is that it is too short - like a demo. A great song will always leave the listener wanting more, but you don't want it so short that it frustrates. That may be the main thing keeping this from scoring even higher.

You just seem to have this knack &mdash 08/13/04 - 10:29:34 AM
of sounding cool. I really like the way you sing this. Like
the strings as well. Simple but effective.

Great stuff

Bruce Willis, is that You? &mdash 08/13/04 - 02:13:25 PM
You have so much personality. I'm really taken. And the
song writing is so rich....

Gosh.. c'mon man. Stop holding out. Post more stuff.
Seriously. I'm fanatic about it.

it ends too soon... lol &mdash 08/14/04 - 03:29:04 PM
Nice song! but it ends too soon.
Sounds bit like it's not completed yet.
I would love to hear more.

I like your voice.

Another nugget! &mdash 08/15/04 - 12:14:54 AM
Had to take a listen to your ONLY (a-hem) other effort, and yet again--not disappointed! More, more, more! I was thinking I heard a Steve Miller vocal influence, too(refer to my if not now, why? comment)--yet very much your own! That is very cool in my book--and like I said before, all the right heroes! Bravo!--M

this is a teaser! &mdash 08/15/04 - 04:11:34 PM
I really wanted to hear more; this song ended WAAAY too
soon. You've got a lot of interesting things in a short
space of time though.

REALLY loved that strings/harmonium type of sound. It
added a lot of atmosphere to the track.

Great vocals! One of the most expressive here on
MacJams, and I know that I'm not the only one wanting to
hear MORE!

charming mellow tune &mdash 08/17/04 - 07:17:54 AM
I like the way the voices are mixed on this
and the melancholic color of the melody.

When are we going to hear the finished version?

I find &mdash 05/26/05 - 11:09:03 PM
the melodies work beautifully together. I love some of the
subtle harmonies created thereby. The rythym was also
perfect to carry the music. Imho
I guess what I'm trying to say is, it was very pleasant.
thanks for sharing
