well i saw this photo (the cover one) and couldn't get the girl to tell me her name so i promised a song - for a name. not a bad deal, ha? i guess it would be really cool to get a song each time you introduce yourself to someone... do you think she'll go out with me?

Very jazzy song. I would have to say the only gripe with the song would be the drums. I dont think they go completly with the song, but the song is nice.

What a sexy tune man. Oh yeah...and she IS a beauty....Love the vox on this. Reminds me a little of some of Leonard Cohen's recent (last 15 years)music. I for one really enjoyed the drum work on this. I guess it's a taste thing. The prodution is top notch as well. Bravo!

completely. I know SL had some reserve on the drums, but they seem to gel to me. they add that loose free rangin feel that the rhodes starts. super radio dj DEEP voice. barry white wishes he could sing like that. very spacey jammin cool tune. sensual to the extreme

Nice nice jazzy feel in this... the drums came in a little abruptly, but they quickly settled in and felt pretty good in the mix, maybe they should move back slightly. Also, because of the repetition, maybe a little build and break in the drums would give this more shape. I like the echoey trumpet (or is that 3-note riff the sax?). Your deep smooth voice adds a lot to this too... nice!

Tastefully mixed with so many subtle elements blended into a smoothie of downtempo suave. Your voice sounds great in the mix, very recognisable, sonorous sound - makes this piece stand out. The drum loop is really insteresting and well picked, but might need some distinct percussive instrument to counter/balance or just a slightly simpler or toned down version at least for some of the softer parts of the track. Love the chords and sax dripping with reverb. Overall feel and groove is top notch, what a treat!

now, if this were a song for center-stage, and at this length, I might suggest more variety, but you've aptly named it an ambient song - the repetitions without much variety lend themselves for background/sound track music. It's really a joy to hear.

and the bass floats right in. Then the Barry White O baby kind of style. Nice, ya the borns fit right in there. Then cool funkyness! Like that Herb Albert horn feel with the sax. Amazing how the keyboard can add so much music.
