Yet another song bed... Something with a little crunch to it. This was not intended to be a song... just a experiment in guitar layering (6 tracks i think)
Hardware:

Between you and Hectorious... &mdash 04/17/07 - 04:50:42 PM
There are some awfully cool soundbeds being crafted in MacJams right now...
Is this really recorded from amps? You're getting a very present and up front crunch that doesn't lose its life in the distortion...

Yes... from amps... I took a little tip from a couple of bands like The Deftones, King's X, and Shiner ( hence the title Tonedeaf Shine ). I use very a saturated distortion but my guitar has low output humbuckers in it. It gives it more definition... Also there are usually 4 guitars with different gains playing the same lines... By themselves... the distorted guitars are a bit muddy... but with a mid gain and a "near" clean guitar... It gave it some clarity.

Man, just wanted to tell you that I like what you did here. Good quality sound, nice and full. No lyrics?
Think you should put something on it. But, that's just me.

This is totally cool. You should add vocals and a lead. Great music bed. [ Reply to This ]
