Cool tribute
Well played tribute to a ground-breaking song by a great master. This will be fun to hear when it shows up in rotation in my iPod (thank you for that).

Strictly pro all around, and very enjoyable.

p.s. I hold HH in such high esteem that the title of the song, which I'm sure you intended to be taken very lightly, is the only thing I'd change. about this

So here I am...
...working my way through a list of new postings from my favorite MacJammers, and half of them are by Soulmonk...and they're all DIFFERENT...

I'm not familiar with Herbie Hancock at all, so I'm probably missing all sorts of musical reference points here, but I am enjoying this tremendously and plonking it into the iPod immediately...

Excellent playing!
Real drums always make such a big difference to a recording. Like Ed, I know virtually nothing of HH's music, but as a standalone piece, this works really well for me. Maybe a little repetitive, but who cares!?!

Some real funk in this genre on macjams...much stuff in posted in this category not even close to anything resembling funk. Well, this resembles funk...super cool groove and great jamming! All 10s.
