Description:
I was so impressed with this song that I had to try to do a remix of it ( http://www.macjams.com/song/30783 ). At first I completly transformed the song by cutting a lot of parts and changing the tempo and melody. I decided to simply add to the jam with thicker drums and a few scratches. I tried my best to stay within the same spirit of the original and to simply add a small impression of myself and this is what I've come up with. I hope I did this song justice.

You have totally plussed this song, man - what a great job! And you're doing that live on turntables? Holy Crap - I need to hire you when we do this song live - that is WICKED! Nice choices all around - the guy, "my dreams become reality" - I mean, that got me laughing and smiling - your treatment made the song brand new again, and that is no small feat, it's been around awhile! The digital snare is a little high on the frequency range, it could stand to be tempered a bit. But the bass kicks and other beats you added - damn - super-solid. The scratching and other bits are just awesome. I'm glad you took to this tune and decided to to do this - I'm going to get a huge kick out of playing this version for people. You're a great turntablist and imaginative, with a fantastic spirit. You really did a great job with this track. BIG-ass kudos! [ Reply to This ]

I am very, very glad you enjoyed the small peice of myself that I attempted to integrate into this song. I see what you mean about that snare. It does seem to be a little loud.

I guess that would put a new twist to a neon Tiki outside of a beach club. Sometimes following your deams can lead to the wrong place (or maybe the right). This remix kinda acts as a everyone's tiki is different vibe. Thanks for the comparison (perspective) and thank you for the listen.

I liked the original and wanted to add some thump to the drums. Im really big on bass and that was the first thing I did on my second attempt to remix the remix of this song (did that make any sense?).

My only production add-on was the drums and the cuts. Most of the credit has to go to dreadmon for the original song. He did a great job and I just tried to compliment it.

Everytime I heard this song originally I kept hearing a cut on it. Even when It would get stuck in my head, I could hear the cuts. I had to do something about it or go mad with what "could have been."
