Description:
Saltwater

Lyrics:
Smash my head against the rocks
To keep the words safe
Fire won't keep them at bay
And salt water numbs the pain

So cold, but I'm not coming out today
Too much to be ashamed of
Too much to be frightened of
Like the child inside me with bleeding eyes

The storm so loud, I cannot sleep
But there's a deathly silence within me
I've burnt the book, I won't look for ashes
But they're in the air around me

Below the surface, where I cannot breathe
Fight back the panic, close my eyes, smile
Life falls away..... and then a wake up

Push the blanket from my face, and see the morning
I am breathing

Pull the blanket across my face
Pull the blanket back across my face

Thanks for the comments, and for listening! :)

Read Lavondyss, the next book in the series - it's even better! A bit hard to get into at the start, but well worth the effort!
