Description:
This the remix i made after applying what i learned in the Forum topic "Normalization QUERY".It's so improved! Thanks you, forum posters, you guys are GREAT. What a resource. If you are a mixer-type person, you might want to visit that thread. -jamo -------- what went before: ------- Wednesday, April 18 2007 @ 08:27 PM CDT This is vehicle to demonstrate some of my flute work. Hardware: Firepod Software: GB2, cubase Quik Post Username: jamorama [ Logout ] ---------- Comments: --------- Meditative — 04/03/07 - 07:42:56 AM Dixie Mason Band Spare. Expressive. Elemental. I like the Directness of the melodic "narration". Cheers, Dixie [ Reply to This ] breathy buzzy flute... — 04/03/07 - 11:26:48 AM drakonis Nice "walking" (fretless?) bass and pace, composition stays fresh with your guitar and flute across it. The flute seemed slightly behind at the beginning, but wasn't a problem later. Nice nice sounds here. The guitar seemed ever-so-slightly loud and dry in the mix, but that may be my desire to hear the flute more. And the ending was a little abrupt with the other instruments just disappearing, leaving the bass standing there alone on stage. So, you played flute... did you play guitar and bass too? ttfn, Drakonis [ Reply to This ] I so want to lie.... — 04/03/07 - 12:47:09 PM jamorama I've always wanted to play bass and guitar, but nope, GB is da bomb. I did play the keyboard here, though.... what, you didn't hear it? ;-) Thanks for the good words. --- Simple ain't easy [ Reply to This ] Smell of the Orient — 04/04/07 - 09:13:08 AM Tadashi Togawa I am Japanese. Your music is a smell of the Orient. So beautiful. [ Reply to This ] Drowning in the ambience — 04/04/07 - 03:15:19 PM Magritte Beautiful soundscape you've put together here. Slightly disturbing, then suddenly reassuring, then unnerving all over again. [ Reply to This ] Wow, thanks. — 04/08/07 - 03:43:44 PM jamorama I am listening to Reach Out For Your Life What a masterpiece. I am actually, actually hearing flute lines in it. What a wonderful song. --- Simple ain't easy [ Reply to This ] This is pretty darn cool - — 04/06/07 - 09:24:41 PM bud At first I was too aware of the looped guitar - but when your flute came in strong it all started working for me. Nice tone and invention. The vibe is very cool - slowing the pace the way you did sets up a nice drone. The keys fit in nice - I assume it's the droney accent around the bass and guitar. Nice work - welcome to |
