nice tune.
it has kind of a Floyd vibe going on. Very nice composition, really nice vocals. Very passionate

Thanks
Thanks for the comment - my bro also thinks that I have too much Floyd feel about the stuff I produce... It's not deliberate(!), but maybe the bass lines evoke that feeling?

having...
... a touch of Floyd is NEVER a bad thing. This by no means sounds like you are "trying to be like them", is just has a "touch of seasoning"...and it's just right.

excellent
Al, I think this is great. It builds real nice. The progression is great. When the strings kick in and your vocal goes on high...gave me chills. looks like ya been on hiatus. Cool to have you postin again. Hope this is the 1st of many more. Cool stuff

Vocals
Thanks for the comments - the singer I work with is very good - we used to play together in a band in the 90s, until he took off to USA to try and get famous. Needless to say, he's been back here for the past 6 years or so and we recently hooked up again to work on some material... I wish I knew what he was singing about in this!

Mellow rock
Really solid. Your vocals, when you sing high like an 80s rocker, it sounds great. The verse doubling is kind of pitchy, tho, especially the falsetto harmonies, which is incongruent with the pro feel of the chorus and bridge vocals. Solid, streamlined arrangement, really nice mellow guitar sound.

Thanks for the critique - I hear ya about the falsetto! Kyle (the singer) was a bit hung over when he did the vocals (all done in a couple of hours in a morning session). I'm amazed that he did such a good job considering his head must have been giving him some grief! I must get him to redo the vocals, only better!

Guitar
The guitar in the pic is a '54 Les Paul Custom replica - gotta love those P90 pickups! Thanks for the positive comments.
