Description:
Jamiroquai's Virtual Insanity remixed. Everything except drums was played out on the MIDI keyboard.

The Drums were pre-loaded Garageband loops. The rest were played out using a PSR-280. Learnt the chords/song from another Yamaha that tought you how to play this song (from the demo song).

Overall I loved the sequences in this bit and so played it out on the PSR-280. Then added a few more things. The whole thing took me about four hours overall.

Also, I MAXED out the Powerbook. It kept telling me to move the CPU setting to highest performance and would stop playing things sometimes.

There's some seperation between left and right channels but not much. This is my first experiment with left and right channeling. Used about 10 tracks for this song including two bass, two guitar's, two piano's, three drum loops and two electronic instruments. It basically comes to sound like this.

Hardware:
Powerbook G4

Software:
Garageband

Just one last thing... &mdash 08/13/04 - 01:00:00 PM
Where' the VOCALS? I'd offer to collab, but there's no WAY
I could sing this. Very good arrangement. An example of
an short expirement that's gone right. Keep a-workin'!

pretty good! &mdash 08/15/04 - 09:26:30 AM
Thanks for telling us the way you created this song.

I like the way you built up this song from the beginning.
The chord progression is nice and has a lot of
possibilities. I hope you expand it further in another song,
add some sort of melody line.

Sometimes the bass sounded a bit distorted....

You have a good ear for combining sounds and I look
forward to hearing more.

Nice Groove, and &mdash 02/06/05 - 06:19:37 PM
The circuit board thingee at the end is one of my favorite
effects.

more circuit! &mdash 08/21/05 - 10:00:23 PM
it really added a different kind of interest to the song. nice,
rich sounds, i agree about the bass being distorted a touch.
seems like you could meander into a little bridge from where
you are now, & then come back & finish with a final verse or
some slick ending. well polished
