Description:
I gave my personal remix to this piece. It's now a journey thru the gone 80s feels, with synth sweeps and resonance filters all the way.
And to be honest don't know what section it fits better...
Too slow to be house, to "straight" to be synth-pop: for me it's more like electro-synth-glitch-pop And thank you so much to the crazy Geechi for inspiring me like that..

Lyrics:
Half Mast Girl by Geechi3

Half Mast Girl
In a cruel world
Judging herself by the scale

Half Mast Girl
wants to fit in
fighting a battle she'll never win

Why can't society let her be?
Escape from the hold of vanity
It sends her a message everyday
To die for a standard she can't obtain

Half mast girl
could change the world
if we let her know she's just fine.

Wow!! &mdash 04/26/07 - 02:02:28 AM
For starters, Geechi sure has a voice! I really enjoyed this one Andy. The synth coming from behind my left ear mid-song is excellent, and the way you've put this together around Geechi's vocal is really well done. An addition which would be interesting to me would be to mix in some dynamic acoustic strummed guitar in places, just to lighten the synths a bit (that's very much just a personal preference, and probably wouldn't seem a good idea to most people).
This is really very good indeed. I'm impressed. Could be a pro recording.
Grazie,
Neil

I can see(hear) why those vocals inspired you. Great soundscape, real professional sound.
