GREAT ONE! &mdash 04/28/07 - 11:39:24 AM
Fabulous Bill! This is a new one right? Don't remember hearing it before. Love the melody line, the guitar tone, the arrangement, everything! Gave it straight 10's. One of your best and that's saying a lot! [ Reply to This ]
Thanks. . . &mdash 04/28/07 - 05:06:13 PM
Thanks bronco! Yes, I spent a bunch of time with it yesterday. I had put this fingerpicking chordal sequence yesterday and thought I might try a decent beat with it. It's not easy to get a strong beat with fingerpicking . But I thought the sequence was fun so I went with it. [ Reply to This ]
Really fine! &mdash 04/28/07 - 08:58:12 PM
I love the combination of percussion with your fingerpicking style! This is a nice change of pace. The addition of organ and bass are great! [ Reply to This ]

...billions came down... is a brilliant line... and starts the mind going in a direction guaranteed to provide perspective...
You're getting some interesting things going with other sounds up against your always impeccable fingerpicking...
The other sounds are seldom of the absolute quality of your fingerstyle and lead playing, but they add interest and a different texture...
You have a very musical mind, Bill. May I have it?
Or your fingers?

much for picking up on that. I really loved the idea of putting a break-dance picture with the earth and tying them in. Kinda fading the break-dance photo like they don't have earthly bodies etc. . . The stopping of the music in spots has special meaning in relation with the young kid headed toward earth, especially after hearing it over and over.
Picture ideas come to be alot of times after I hear the completed tune. I guess a lot of macjams artists feel that way.

Your guitar is perfect for Saturday morning coffee and relaxing. This is great, Bill. [ Reply to This ]

this is one of my favorites I've done with a beat I thiink. I"ve said it before but it really is not easy to find something with a nice straight ahead beat with cool fingerpicking. Like a rolling banjo picker, it can be done but I think it can be a hard search. [ Reply to This ]
