Leave it Alone (ft John Kane/James Moore)

Description
John and I have collaborated with "jk" (John Kane) on many occasions, together and separately, so it was a no-brainer to invite jk as a special guest artist on our upcoming double CD. And we were lucky to get James once again to contribute to a technically difficult track (different tempos and timings), yet he made it seem easy. This song is definitely a headbanger, with more emphasis placed on riffing vs. solos. Eh, what else can I say. Listen to it! And turn it up!

jk: Vocals/lyrics
James Moore: Drums
John: Keyboards
Jay: Music/mixing/guitars/bass

Lyrics
Placed in a silken sheath
so carefully and serene
in the bureau of my sacred memories
for a lifetime it seems
A priceless treasure, not dimmed by time
or the frailty of my mind, of my mind.

When it's pathetic, you'll regret it
leave it alone
Frenetic aesthetic, never static
Leave it alone.
Leave it alone.
Lay it down.
Leave it alone.
Let it breathe.

Don't fabricate a world of lies.
Don't compromise on a history that you brought to life.

(Leave it alone).
Lay it down.
Leave it be, oh.
Let it breathe.

Leave it alone.
Lay it down, oh.
Let it breathe.

Leave it alone.

It's a part of a life that will remain unchained,
and it's a precious strand of time that will stay unchanged.

Leave it alone.
