This very much reminds me the artist Cardamar, especially the way you did the beat.
Even though this is driven by bass, it still does have a wee wee bit of your emotion in it, especially with the string riffs.
Was excited to see some music from ye.

Sweet! &mdash 04/29/07 - 03:38:57 PM
But then again, I think all of your music is sweet and awesome too. Not the typical Miss C stuff, but I can definitely hear your touches and influences in this piece. Love the elements and the panning effects. Nice melody and great bass lines! Excellent job, Miss C! (As usual). I know about the hiatus. I havn't been participating as much as I would like, myself. I have just been posting and running back to do life's other duties. I havn't had much time lately for composition or even the occasional chat with my MJ friends. I miss that very much. I just have so much on my plate right now, that some things have taken precidence over writing and participating and generally just having fun. I sincerely hope you, _nder and the girls are doing well. Take care Miss C! Once again, a wonderful job on your latest posting! Brava!!! Peace!

I've missed you, Miss C... &mdash 04/29/07 - 04:07:27 PM
...and since, in addition to being a Miss Chaos fan, I am also a huge RAIN fan, I am primed for this...
Huge, wholesome tones on this one... I, too, like the string riffs... and I think I like the repeating bass riff the most...and I like the way you use darker, lower tones against the more obviously electronic upper midrange synth-y bits...
After that, there's the sense of up and down, left to right, and front to back space here... This is not a flat canvas... For all that it's electronic, it's very much alive...
I am pleased as pleased to see you here again...

they always make my day. Betcha didn't know you had that sort of influence, eh? I love that you can hear the nuances in this that sometimes go unnoticed in purely 'electronic' music. And that you noticed really pleases me after the hours and hours I spent tweaking the mix on this one. Thank you so very much. You continue to be a fantastic listener and all around wonderful person.

Great to have you back! &mdash 04/29/07 - 04:42:59 PM
Stace, you have a very strong grasp on the "Chaos" genre (not that its chaotic). Playful, sometimes dissonant melodies intertwined with threads of fabric from the deep. This flows like a soundtrack to any number of mediums. The bass and beats have been engaged quite successfully.

I can stop holding my breath, another dreamy bit of MC washes through, thank you! Even though this is sort of a repeat, it is really a gorgeous piece of music, and a definite download/fave. The bass really draws the attention, however, there's the soft haunting reverby flute-like melody that tugs at the heart. Deliciously cute break in the middle. So glad to have you peek in again, even if just for a moment! *Waves* from another mostly-not-here-lately MJer.

Nice to hear a posting from you! &mdash 04/29/07 - 06:45:41 PM
I totally understand the 'all work, no play' thing. Nevertheless, I'm glad you got a chance to post this. It is different than your usual style, but there are some definite Miss Chaos elements - the sliding percussion transitions, the full mix of high, midrange and low elements. The bass groove is an interesting variation for you. Maybe something you'd use on more occasions. I like the prominence of that bass line. It kind of invites me to get up and move along. No monotony here &mdash 04/30/07 - 09:38:27 AM
Even though I couldn't hear the audio problems you were concerned about on the vocal version, this does work very well as an instrumental. It has all the elements it needs to keep it tripping along, and clever use of spaces in unexpected places.
I know what you mean about slipping through the gap between genres ... I have the same problem sometimes. It doesn't help that one of the voting parameters is "overall rating in genre", which potentially means people may mark you down simply because you couldn't find the right label to attach to it. I know that isn't a problem if you've got voting disabled, but even so ...
Nice to see you posting again, anyway. [ Reply to This ]

So good to have you back here posting! What a sexy and sassy bit of theatrical lightwork, it's a booty-shaker for sure. Such lush and lovely strings - I really love the neo-classical breakdown with what sounds sort of like harpsichord, sweet changes there. And I was just wondering what you had been up to - now comes this - and I can see you've been up to all good! Thanks for the breath of fresh air, MC. [ Reply to This ]

Although the core melody comes back constantly, this is everything but boring. And that's all thanks to a splendid arrangement and the choice of instruments, which are blended into an exquisite mix/production. Greaaaat groove, contageous melody, big talent. My respect, Miss.

I d/l'd this when you first made it available and I've had another listen or 6 to it earlier this evening and it's a mix that I think is well worth the time that you must have put into it.
The rhythm caught me first of all and the rest of the music just adds to the listening experience.
The production is excellent.
A great piece.

This is a lovely melodic little beast, with a fab arrangement - very european sounding. Love the beats and strings on this, and the little twists and turns that the track takes. I haven't heard the vocal version, and will check this out as soon as.
That said , this works as an instrumental really well 'cause of all the subtle changes.
Really nice work, MissC.
