Description:
A collaboration between Myself and Tommy Reiger and Ray Garrido.

Lyrics:

My Mirage Man.

Every thing you promised
Was just an illusion

I see you walking
Across the desert
That once was the valley of our Love

I see everything you promised
Turn to dust

My Mirage Man

what i like &mdash 04/30/07 - 07:20:15 AM
i like the voice! i like the bass line and the guitar mellowness. i like the feel and emotion coming out of the tune. i think the double speed hi-hat maybe little too much there... but you got me there, in that valley, in the desert... take care

Excellent Job! &mdash 04/30/07 - 07:48:58 AM
Hello Itis, who is this man? Very subtle and wide song. Good and diverse vocals!!
Tell me who is this man? Fiction, just an illusion? Or is he real? He sounds real:-(

love

Marc

Liked this one a lot - liked the space and echoes. Reminded me somewhat of the Cocteau Twins. Are you a fan?

Little girls dreams burned in the sun smoldering with distrust and loneliness.

Way cool! &mdash 05/01/07 - 10:38:46 AM
Background: I'm living in Austin, TX, the "live music capitol of the world". Basically that means singer/songwriter crap. Every once in a while I read about the latest "electronic" band on the scene. Every time I check it out it's the same belted-out vocals and straight up and down guitars with some electronic burbling behind it. Basically they could have done it with just a voice and guitar.

That's why I like this track so much: the electronics, guitar, and voice are all well integrated. Not just singing over some electric/electronic background. They are all equal participants in the music as a whole. The processing on the vocals definitely makes a big difference here.

And of course the composition and arrangement are good stuff too. That wobbly bass sets the basic mood for the rest of the sounds to float over.

Excellent work.

Love the pic - very interesting, what's the story behind that? Really well put together and performed.

your voice &mdash 05/02/07 - 11:22:53 AM
Im loving the vocals though I think they are a little too far in the back of the song. I actually listened to this song without paying attention to the lyrics or the pic and imagined some sort of desert landscape with a ragged man walking in the distance. I think the instruments are fine here and work well with the concept.

The thing about mirage men are that they aren't real.

the artwork is soooooo cool. Who did it?

Great tremolo guitar sets such a cool theme for that slime bag mirage man. Just too cool for his own good.

Should have left him out there in the desert...

Nice piece...

Very cool. Great vocals. I agree with smokey bacon jr's Cocteau Twins reference. Sounds work well together. Love the bassline. Evocative and memorable. Nice. Downloaded. Thanks for sharing. Peace.
