Description
This was the first song I created with logic. I'm still having issues with mixing, some parts are too soft, others too loud. Any suggestions on mixing would be appreciated

I was influenced by early 80's funk and R & B, especially the Minneapolis sound of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

Logic
Great on your first Logic attempt!

A few things I noticed (hope you don't mind):
1. I think the drums are a bit static. Sounds like they could use some dynamic changes; fills, EQing, etc.

2. The rezzo-synth instrument is indeed loud but I think that what struck me more was that it was too constant a sound. Although I think that instrument could change altogether with the addition of vocals because I can't imagine it playing along side the vocals at that volume and intensity. I wonder if something less intrusive sounding could work better. Just a thought.

Off to listen to more of your stuff! Thanks for sharing!

Input Appreciated
Thanks for the suggestions Miss Chaos, I will definitely improve my song in the areas you critiqued. Drums have always been an issue for me.

Excellent groove
I like the basic idea of this song. You lay down a gentle groove, with not many highs or lows; the energy is fairly constant, as are the parts that the different synths play. But all of the parts are still intresting, and you alternate between pretty cool synth sounds. That makes for a very sweet tune to groove along to.

My only quible is with the lead synth that comes in somewhere halfway. That's way too cheesy. Given the splendid sounds that you have in the rest of the track, that should really be replaced.
