Description
Pretty much a raw recording, really. This is probabl one of the most modified traditional English songs that we have. The amount of different versions I've seen of this is staggering. This is one of my favourite versions (not least 'cos I live in York! lol!) This is open for collabing, by the way. If anyone thinks they can bring in something to support my vocals, they are MORE than welcome to try! Just let me know!

It's been great to see your voice getting stronger and more accurate in your time at MJ as you've gained experience and confidence. Long may it continue to do so. Your voice has a naturally soft and sweet tone and will go on improving as you learn to believe in yourself.
You've certainly nailed the essential aspect of a cappella folk-singing, which is to let the song find its own rhythm and dynamic so that the absence of other instruments becomes unimportant.
Folk songs are like plasticine ... you can mould them into whatever shape you like without changing their basic substance, and you obviously have the right modelling skills! If you felt inclined to practise this up until the harmonies are tight and belt the main line out with confidence I think you'd end up with something pretty stunning here.
