Lyrics:
As I look past all these years
All the ups and downs and fun and laughs
And sometimes even tears

I know I could never replace
Someone as beautiful and wonderful
When I look in your face

I want you to know how much this all means to me
So thankful for all the love, the love you shared with me
Without you I know that I would never be
   ...who I am
I just wanted you to know how much you mean to me

Nice style &mdash 08/14/04 - 02:47:30 PM
MCS, this has a great Billy Joel quality to it. I had to listen
again to see if there was anything wrong with it. Couldn't
find a bad thing!

well done &mdash 08/14/04 - 04:55:47 PM
It sounds like you tightened up the piano at the beginning
from the earlier version you had shared with me; it seems
better in-synch now.

Very nice piano work throughout the piece.

Your vocals remind me of Joe Jackson's voice. Excellent
lyrics. My only wish is that your vocals had a bit more
reverb to liven them up.

Nice job!

Well done! &mdash 08/14/04 - 07:11:28 PM
Good singing, too! There's a "P" in there that pops
very strongly, though.... there's also a couple of
spots in your singing where your scaling hits me as a
little strong... almost takes from the feeling of the
message and becomes a little "Star Search"y.

Other than that, it's clearly a great track! Very
heartfelt and as always, you tear up a piano!

Like the Ahhhhh's &mdash 08/14/04 - 09:02:04 PM
Sounded a bit like 10cc. Singing was cool (and a lot better
than I could do). I like the quality of your voice. Only
caveat would be the wobbly bits on the long held notes
could possibly be a little more controlled. But then they
might lose some of the feeling...ahhh it's a tough one...

Anyway, liked the backing too.

Well you make her sound pretty special dude. Congrats on
finding the right one.

Solid &mdash 09/02/04 - 01:25:22 PM
Very solid pop tune. Great balanced writing, lyrically
and melodically. Nice bass line and bass playing (if it's
MIDI, I can't tell). Nice Billy Joel vocal stylings. The "ah"s
are a sweet touch, but they seem a bit like they are part of
a different mix (so much reverb and are they really
panning from side to side?) The synth wash at the end
has the same other-song feel to me. Too bad you
couldn't rent the New York Philharmonic instead of using
the synth, cuz the song is good enough to deserve them.
Felice and you are a great pair. Isn't love the best?

Great Song &mdash 09/23/04 - 04:15:49 AM
This is a great track, I loved the piano. I think you're
trying to hard to styalize your vocals, they have a great
timbre to them, but I think you've made them to complex.
Simplicity holds it's own beauty.
