Lyrics:
See you lying there, flat on the floor
I didn't know what to say anymore,
as they wheeled you out, of our front door, I couldn't cry, beg, borrow or steal anymore.
It's been a year, since the time,
and your never really gone, from out of our minds, As the daybreak sets, and the stars come clean, I'll see over there,I'll see you in my dream.
Won't you take us on back to the river down there, To the banks of the shore, where the snow fills the air, well, the Lake freezes over, you better beware...........
Were headed up north, you might not see the sun, you might not eat, it might not be fun, But you'll learn a thing or two about being on your own, a lesson or two, no we won't leave you cold.
Wouldn't want to leave you , Out in the Cold, Wouldn't want to leave you, deep in the snow, Would't want to leave you out in the cold, would't want leave you out on your own. Refrain.......................

Clear Sound &mdash 05/05/07 - 09:33:01 AM
I can still hear the jam band spontaneity that is your trade mark :) The vocals and instruments are all much clearer than you other work, so good job on the touch ups. All in all a nice melancholy song. Thanks for sharing.

Love the comments, thanks for the compliments, we feel Howard really added some dimension here. Makes us want to add the instruments and get out on the road. HaHa

More drums please! &mdash 05/05/07 - 11:46:49 AM
Sounds clean - a nice atmosphere of mix you've got - though I'd like to hear those drums and bass come up, they are fairly buried here. Dreamy ditty!

very good &mdash 05/06/07 - 06:14:22 PM
Like the overall production... Like how all the sounds just float around in the background of the rythm... Excellent lyrics!

Cool song. Eh eh eh &mdash 05/31/07 - 08:59:31 PM
I like the minimal production, basically vocal and guitar, and occasionally some other instruments filling bits in. That sort of austere sound fits the subject matter. It wouldn't do to make something too triumphantly big sounding.

But, eh, why is the vocal all the way in the left channel and the guitar right? Some of the sax part are too far back in the mix. Either play like you mean it, or don't play.

If you can straighten out some of the production issues, you have a great song here. It's good material.
