Description:
This is a song that I wrote and recorded originally a few weeks ago. At the suggestion of quite a few folks, I have re-recorded it with added harmonic tracks, fixed many of the mic pops, and changed the dynamics of the piano track.

I think you will enjoy the rich vocals and the original lyrics. I don't play any instruments, so I hope you can look past that, and simply appreciate the lyrics, harmonies, and over all composition.

I was inspired by my wife of 10 years and also my Mom who has always been an inspiration to me.

My personal influences are based on a love of music from Billy Joel, Dennis De Young, and others of that age, although I have been told my voice is very reminiscent of Cat Stevens, which upon investigation seems to be true, I just never realized it until until someone on this forum posted a comment about my first draft of this song.... :-)

Please enjoy it.

Lyrics:
After all these years, its impossible to tell you, how I feel about you now, with only my words my words written on a page, my words written on a page. If only we could go, on a journey where the years were like the chapters of a book, we'd go back in time and experience, the feelings that we had, and the good and the bad, some filled with tears, some filled with cheers, and some filled with memories.

Chorus: The memories that we have we hold dear in our hearts and will inside of our minds, now and tomorrow. ooo, Now and Tomorrow.

Many years from now, when we look back on our lives and judge the way in which we lived, and we think of those choices that we made, all the choices that we've made. If only we could turn, to the pages in our book that hold those choices that we've made, we go back in time and rearrange, the choices that we've had, and the good and the bad, some filled with tears, some filled with cheers and some filled with memories.

Chorus

When we've reached the final page and we cant begin to hide our age, if we can smile and we can say that we don't regret a single day, our lives will be a part of time, living on in our hearts and minds, ooo..... now and forever....

Your added harmony tracks are wonderful! Nice choices.
And fewer pops; very clean tracks. If I have any technique
advice: There are some times it sounds like you're
running out of breath in the first verses. And when you
start layering the harmonies, the over all sound increases
so much it is too loud... you have to equalize the sound.
And then on the "age" verse, when the piano nearly drops
out (for no apparent reason), it is confusing and I
wondered why... would have rather had the piano drop out
completely at that point. And the song could still use a
bridge. But this is a great upgrade. I love what you've
done.
