Description:
My defenses were up, shields were on
'cause I'd been in love before.
I'd played that game, fought the battle,
and I'd lost the war.
But somehow you found my heart,
pierced it from afar
and then while I was in a weakened state, you slipped in Under The Radar

Cool Vibe &mdash 05/12/07 - 11:21:42 PM
nice tune-really like the vibe-as always you deliver something other than the norm-for me it lacks a 'build up' of sorts but the wailing guitar sounding lead and the way you used it for the piece makes up for any lack-well done!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. The build in this is not quite as large as the build I have in some other pieces here on MJ and is more subtle with the background synths. I guess I really wanted the song to work around the lead and the hook ending. Glad you god into this one.

Cool! &mdash 05/13/07 - 12:46:00 AM
I like it. The bass line reminds me of my "rollerskating" days. I love the sound bed you got going here. It really supports the solo well.
Nice Job!

Thanks for the visit and thanks for adding your name to the favs list.

I hope your memories of roller skating days are good memories and not memories of skinned knees, broken wrists and sprained ankles <G>

Very Good Bill. One good thing i can always count on, is your attention to all the small details in your compositions. another fine example.

Thanks, vid &mdash 05/13/07 - 10:24:48 PM
Interesting that you should say that about the small details. Part of the job I have as a television show producer and dealing with our student crew is trying to cover all the little details.
In my songs I work on trying to listen to each instrument several times to make sure that the tracks are exactly how I want them. I'm glad you notiiced something which I work hard on ... the details.

wow &mdash 05/23/07 - 01:14:04 AM
Bill you have the best production skills that I have heard here, really and don't be so modest about it. The drums are the best I have heard you produce, and the mix, flow of the song is great, makes me think of a radar....

I appreciate your visiting and thank you for the comment. I really did like the way the drums worked on this song and I'm glad that you noticed the attention I paid to the drum track.
Thanks again

Great title... &mdash 05/26/07 - 01:54:58 PM
...cool tuneage Bill. All done on the keys eh? Pretty freakin amazing. The "guitar" leads are pretty convincing. Wow...it really takes off in the mid-section! I really dig this man. Nice head-boppin/toe-tappin work!

Be well

I'm glad you liked this effort. Enough effects and the guitar tracks come out pretty cool even in GB. <G>
