Description:
A sleepy little ambient number.

Lyrics:
it’s all clear to me now
high above macau
the warmest night in june
china moon
with daylight fading out
you took away my doubt
china moon

you shone the way to the tao
reflected in the bow
i still recall the tune
china moon
with star light falling down
and salt upon my frown
china moon

you measure up the man
boohoo you wrote it in the sand

it’s all clear to me now
high above macau
the birds with broken wings
desire ten thousand things
china moon
with daylight fading out
you took away my doubt
china moon

Nice Tune &mdash 05/16/07 - 02:14:49 PM
Reminds me of the 70's - yeh I was there - has a certain Ziggy Stardust quality to it - well done Mr. Buckhorn.

Hey &mdash 05/18/07 - 10:27:35 AM
Thanks for the listen, yea bowie was an influence a million years ago when I was young. Lately I been in a folky way, and feeling a little boxed in. If you can't be free in music ,where can you be? Regards

Lovely melancholy sounds reminding me of summer evenings past.

Thanks Maurice, for stopping by. It's cool to think a distinguised looking gentleman from Lanchasire would listen and comment on one of my songs. A few years back I never would have thought that possible. Thanks for the kind words. Regards

lovely &mdash 05/17/07 - 02:55:40 PM
wow - the word I think of is quality. Restrained, but evident emotion, beautiful soundscape. Carefully chosen accents and carefully played piano and guitar. Like a little world. I like it.

Clever way you had of skirting the issue of lyrics, but I would actually like to read those because I can't make all of them out : )

Quality &mdash 05/18/07 - 10:43:20 AM
I read a book a while back that tryed to define what quality is. Its called "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle mantenance" Any way in the end the protaganist turned out a little looney. Good book though.
Music and melodies come pretty easy to me but words come pretty hard. (at least words that I'm proud enough of that , Id write them down so other folks could read them. Thanks for the listen and comment. Regards

very nice. the guita sound is very cool "moonlight mile" sort of vibe, and the song is just really nice. don't t hink it's half written at all. are you familiar with M. Ward at all? i think you'd like his stuff.

hey man &mdash 06/08/07 - 08:33:50 PM
you know that your music crossed my mind when I was working on this, (I hear a lot of worldly influence in your music) I was hoping that that some would come across in this song, Even though I've never been to asia, (Ive only been to China Town in Oakland and San Francisco) Thanks for the comments. Regards

I know now, - &mdash 02/14/08 - 04:53:43 PM
This song reminds me more of The Band more than David Bowie. I love it, I can hear Levon, Robbie,Richard,Garth and Rick. The more I play it the more I can hear that gorgeous old brown album [1970]atmosphere. I think it's better than Bowie.

Good work,

John

Thanks Woof &mdash 02/16/08 - 12:50:58 AM
But really, no one is better than bowie ;) I can kinda see the comparison to the band with the dual vocals and that incessant folky twang that I can't hide. The worst thing about the band is they are difficult to google. Thanks for stoppin by I appreciate it. Regards
