nice one! &mdash 05/17/07 - 08:17:33 AM
Good intro! Energetic, emotional. Like the drum oriented, sparse melody influences. Nice organ/ old drum computer toms! The melodies are weird, I always find that a good thang. Nice drum solo would have been nice! U seem to be a good lover, so to speak. Hahahaha, eclipse....u seemed to have pawned her eclipse. Scuse me ladies...Pfffff:-P

i am gonna check out more of yours, hopefully as energetic as this one?

kind regards,

Marc

Thanks marc &mdash 05/17/07 - 08:36:17 AM
even if I´m not able to follow to all of your words ... thanks for listening! Yes, maybe a little drum passage could be fine. I will try hard to keep the songs energetic.

great job &mdash 05/17/07 - 12:46:08 PM
Dark as night: Love the intro... The entire song is good indeed... Nice drums and basslines... The production is tight... Well done

dark vibes &mdash 05/17/07 - 01:31:06 PM
thanks craft for your warm words. the most peculiar thing (I have to think about) is, that sometimes I'm not quite oblivious of my song's dark vibes. So I ask myself, if this is the result of a dark mind ... otherwise I would definately state my disposition a positive one ;)

Mysterious! &mdash 05/18/07 - 02:45:59 PM
Very creative and evocative of a dark and ominous mystery. Danger and tension throughout! Although this is not a genre I often frequent I gotta say I really enjoyed this Alex. To me it has a bit of an 80's King Crimson feel...Kudos!

Be well!

King Crimson and 80ies Progressive Rock bands &mdash 05/19/07 - 01:05:35 PM
Thank you very much Micheal,

this is a very interesting comparison (I only know one or two songs of the legendary King Crimson) and btw. lots of years ago I was addicted to some 80ies Progressive Rock Bands), so maybe (without being aware of this fact) I'm influenced by them. Thanks for stopping and being open minded ...

Unclassifiable &mdash 05/19/07 - 06:35:49 AM
Hi Alex - not sure what genre i'd put this into, but it's a great track. The drums sound great, and the whole track has a wonderful dark sense of drama. This works really well as an instru .... be interesting to hear this with vocals. First work I've herad of yours, and I'm very impressed.

unclassificable &mdash 05/19/07 - 01:20:07 PM
Yes you're right: it doesn't really fit (and of course is possibly much too dark) to the genre "Trip Hop" ... the track was somehow influenced by Massive Attack's "Unfinished Symphathy". Yep, of course I'd like to hear vocals on some of my tracks and I could imagine vocals to this one, too. But I don't think to be a convenient singer (and I have to admit, that I'd never seriously tried so far) and it's not that easy to find volunteers. So I take the chance now to proclaim: Any singers and collabs welcome.

Singer wanted &mdash 05/19/07 - 03:02:03 PM
well, have a listen to some of my stuff and see what you think. I'm out of action at the moment as I've had a sinus operation, then I've got a backlog of 3 songs, but I'd be happy to do something with you ... lemme know.

Flattering offer &mdash 05/20/07 - 11:40:39 AM
meanwhile I did listen to your songs ... (thanks for the chance to come to know your work) I really like your stuff ... very original, skilled and advanced to my ears. And of course I'd like to take a chance for a collab ... so get well soon, Steve.

Any thought to singing on this song?

Singing &mdash 05/23/07 - 09:36:06 AM
thanks Steve for listening. I'm not the most convenient singer under the sun, but maybe Steve (echoroom) will add some vocals/lyrics to this track. Pop in the next months ...

actually &mdash 05/23/07 - 12:00:55 PM
the drums are excellent! and yeah, good good production. for me this tune is slow night ride thru ghetto. urban cuts, black and white. very nice piece.

cheers

drums &mdash 05/23/07 - 12:38:39 PM
thanks for listening, baki. i always wanted to self-create a trippy beat like this. the song was somehow tinkered around the drum part, which was the staring point before i had any idea about the song and nearly took most of the time ... the rest followed quickly.

Trippy &mdash 05/23/07 - 08:04:00 PM
Nice track. I like the initial bass, but the track feels a bit spare when that pad is playing all alone (apart from the drum) immediately after. There are some nifty things happening later in the track. Cool.

Bass &mdash 05/24/07 - 03:39:20 AM
good advice Vic(tor?), that may flow into the next revision. Since vocals will be added soon, i will have to re-arrange the whole track and see, what's missing. thanks for listening!
