Description

Tomorrow, it will be 2 years since i joined MacJams. To celebrate, I am reposting the anniversary version of Blue Sun. I posted this one year ago on the anniversary of Blue Sun, my most popular post...still true today actually. I liked it well enough to pull it down with the intention of saving it for my next cd, because I really think this is a very good example of my voice on the electric guitar.

But I decided to repost it, download enabled to wish everyone peace and joy this coming summer. And thanks again to all the inspiring MacJammers!

'Tis a bummer that MJ doesn't let us *update* a song page with new versions... because when you deleted this, it *poofed* off my favorites list! But I just fixed that and re-faved, so glad to have i back! This is definitely one of my favorite favorites of yours... has just a touch of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" in it, and is just so lusciously rich and dreamy. Mmm... shows off the depth of your bluesy soul, just rollin' along. sweeeeet work Fran! I'm glad that some of the newer MJ folk are discovering you through this.

One word:
"fluid." This number captures so many flowing images...It's almost like the oil pans of the late 60s with so many flashing lights and images spilling all over one another. Well, maybe I date myself, but that's the very mellow image this compositions conjures in my mind. You have wonderful control of all the background in this mix and your guitar lead is about as skilled as they get. You are a master at this.

	anniversary of Blue Sun, This was the first song I listened to when I found MacJams. I couldn't believe the musicianship then and I am still awestruck a year later.I am a new member to this site but not to the blues, and this is THE BLUES .Awesome...thanks for sharing this.

My medical advice for this ailement is to take 2 spoons full of "RUBY" and I guarantee she'll talk you out of any rut we humans may manage to fall into! I've heard her speak and if that's not lovin' you , nothin is. As my Mother used to say to me " Get your butt off the couch or I'll smack you "...it's got nothing to do with feeling down but it always made me smile thinking about it. Regards Gerry
