Fire and passion &mdash 05/17/07 - 07:23:37 AM
Your composition, singing and playing always has a strong Bohemian passion, which I love. The addition of the electric guitar was tastefully done. It didn't overpower your music, but added even more strength to it... and the mix is very clean, great job Mike! Is this *the* Mike Burn of "Starship Bobota", etc? I am glad that your music is getting so nicely recorded and mixed, Volker... this sounds very clear! Your "philosperanto" language is universal, it goes right to my heart... thank you!

It's Mike Burn of "Starship Bobota" &mdash 05/17/07 - 08:27:55 AM
Thanks for your encouraging feedback.
Yes, it's Mike Burn of "Starship Bobota". I had a visit in his professional sound studio in Frankfurt/Germany. He did the recording, adds of instruments and the mix. I'm glad to belong to his group of musical friends, so called MBaF = Mike Burn and Friends.
By the way he is the owner of www.soundlift.com

All the best to you!

Nice Compliment... &mdash 05/17/07 - 08:34:02 AM
Thanks for your nice and encouraging compliment.
I've to forward your motivating feedback to Mike Burn too, because he did the recording of my guitar song improvisation, the adds of additional instruments and the full mix.

All the best to you and your musical life!

wow &mdash 05/17/07 - 10:32:56 AM
I agree with Drak, very good balance, what a great friend to have mix your improvisations.

You have a great voice and style. I think it is incredible that you can make up words as you sing - I will sometimes mumble and humm while I improvize, but nothing that sounds anything like a language - amazing! I read your bio and am happy for you. It puts a smile on my face everytime I hear a story that tells of art getting us humans through the most disturbing times in our lives and in our world.

I will listen to some of your other songs gradually. Can't wait.

Peace

Your comment is like a gift... &mdash 05/17/07 - 12:19:39 PM
I'm surprised happily when reading your nice and enlightening comment. Thanks a lot.
This inspires me to create more totally improvised songs.
Up to now I've 182 songs on disk, but I never play the same song again...

Life! &mdash 05/17/07 - 03:49:37 PM
It's so easy to think we can capture music with our instruments and machines... almost like hunters, persuing and trapping the music and mounting it on a (record, CD, tape, choose your era) for all time.

Yeah... but we really don't. Not truly. Your improv singing and playing reminds me that music is alive, and like life, never the same no matter how many times you run through it. This is an absolute joy.

Thank you.

Thanks for your attention and enlightening explanation of music.
I believe, that only authentic music expresses real life, and that's what is convincing... reaches the hearts of listeners.

Cool use of electric guitar &mdash 05/18/07 - 04:45:27 PM
Almost eclectic with the guitar. Nice tribute!

Someday I would like to take my family to visit the country of Philos. I can imagine there are many trees there, or not.

Germany is close populated &mdash 05/19/07 - 02:35:50 AM
Thanks for your feedback.
Yes, you should come to Germany, but you'll see (compared to USA and Kanada) it's very close populated, many winding streets with trees and houses/buildings on both sites...

Echt gut Volker! &mdash 05/19/07 - 02:35:51 AM
Love the sound of Philosperanto, and the mix is excellent. You have a way of making happy music which, despite having indecipherable lyrics, brings a smile to my heart.
Thanks,
Neil

Indecipherable lyrics... &mdash 05/19/07 - 02:46:07 AM
Thanks for your nice and encouraging comment.
Refering to 'indecipherable lyrics'of my songs, you are free to imagine what's the meaning of the song title and what's the mood and feeling mediated by the music.
I think, the music is a self-contained universal language.
