almost there!!! &mdash 08/16/04 - 11:46:32 PM
I like the mood and melody of your tune...it reminds
me of Blondie or the Motels...

I think it could be a great song with a just a little
work...the vocals and music are a little bit tenative
and the guitar solo a little too much. Watch that
breathy inhale on the singing - it sticks out in some
areas.

Thanks for the comments, Stan. R'oh, I know the guitar's too much, but

Oh, what to say--- i love u :) &mdash 08/17/04 - 12:34:42 AM
Really nice feal with your projection, emotioinal and
passionate. Nice counter with the back up voice. I could
feal a little more bravo in the bass but thats just me. I felt
a little slip, but i didn't fall, on drum tempo right after the
bridge.

i gather by the array listed you have been doing music for
a while or you own a music store. You have quality it
shows. What I'm not hearing though is clearity of the
words. I'm a little hard of hear with so many years in
earphones and heavy music. That and beating steel with
hammers in making suits of armor. so it could be me.
I beleive enuciation inhances eloquence. They go
toghther.

I know it's a long way and a slender line to
streach through, but i have a shoulder if you need.

You get a high rating from me... want to hear more pant,
pant.......soon

Thanks for the love :) This is such a fantastic site--ya make a girl feel great
to be so well received.

In fact I don't own a music store (what a heaven that would be); I just tend to
be a sucker for the gear. While GarageBand seems to have all the effects,
dynamics, and soft-instruments a creative mind could ever need, I like having
outboard alternatives, too--especially the vintage or tube stuff that just can't
be duplicated.

Well done &mdash 08/17/04 - 06:42:54 AM
This is a good track, generated by unfortunate
events it would seem... I have a few of those myself.

Nice guitar solo and solid arrangement. You've got a
cool voice, too, but it seems like those "s" sounds
come in really strong at times. Maybe dropping some
of those higher dials in the EQ might help there. Of
course, I'm still a mixing novice.

Thanks for the listen, Packo ;)

I'm open to suggestions about how to drop the suffer-and-succotash that's
all over my vocals. On the one hand, I want to get that "on-stage" feel of a
closely-held SM58; but the production value of it ends up sounding pretty
amateur. Maybe a de-esser?

good beat &mdash 08/17/04 - 10:12:05 AM
The vocals are well done (nice voice! great quality!) and
the breathing was good in small doses. But it might be
better overall to use that effect sparingly.

I liked everything about the accompaniment except that it
seemed just a bit heavy to my ears at times, but otherwise
very good. Nice beat, tasteful guitar punctuation.

Good track all in all.

good beat &mdash 08/18/04 - 10:31:35 PM
Ya know, I have this problem all the time--mixing _way_ to heavy on the
bass. I think it has something to do with my monitors, Event 20/20bas.
They've got 8" woofers that really punch the low stuff, so, rather than make
sensible mixing choices, I'm inclined to crank it and indulge the thump. I just
can't resist!

Of course, then I play the songs on stereos or in the car, and the bass is just
waaaaaayy too big. Reaw . . . reaw . . . reeaaaaaaaaawwwwww.

But now that this has happenned over and over again, I think one of these
days I'll learn my lesson. Thanks for the comments ;)

Pleasant &mdash 08/17/04 - 01:21:39 PM
This song is a pleasure to listen to. Things sound a little
muddled to me, but maybe it's only me. Reminds me a bit
of something from the 80's, but I can't put my finger on it.

breath &mdash 09/02/04 - 11:59:54 AM
i especially like the groove and your breathing. had a hard time catching the lyrics. but this is cool tune and deserve some cool song art! nice key change into the hot solo, by the way. drums were a but too soft, and the bass also sometimes (during the guitar solo). love the track.

breaking up is hard rock to do &mdash 05/30/05 - 12:48:41 PM
I can dig it. Good song. Has a live mojo feel about it. The
breathiness has already been mentioned. I'm particularly
interested in how you patch in your ESQ-1 (since I just
bought one today).
