I think I might give up guitar &mdash 05/18/07 - 02:59:12 PM
and start euphonium.
Wonderful tone and such clean playing.
Cheers

Hey Bill &mdash 05/18/07 - 04:17:21 PM
It just so happens, I've been experimenting with a pair of polk speakers on my computer. Your recording is very nice! At volume, your guitar could be right here in my office! Cranked, it still sounds very nice!
Thanks for coming to play in my office! This is a very nice piece.
Peace,

great &mdash 05/18/07 - 07:24:14 PM
The recording sounds very smooth and pro.
Your performance shows that you're improving and reaching for new highs all the time. Very impressive.
It reminded me of the Eagles' live version of hotel california, which they did on "when hell freezes over".

Thanks MO, MG, DL and thoddi &mdash 05/19/07 - 12:57:43 AM
Thanks DL for the heads up on how it sounds in speakers. I pretty much use head phones but they are a good pair. But it is good to know about the speakers!

Also thank for introducing the harpsichord sound in your latest tune. [ Reply to This ]
To my ears... &mdash 05/19/07 - 05:35:27 PM
...this sounds better than version two. There is a bit more warmth in the bass, and your attack seems smoother and more even here. The other version has a whisper of some sort of attack artifact that creeps in. I don't remember if that one used the internal pick-up or the mics, or both. This sounds more natural in comparison.
So... this is a TAYLOR... How neat. I just bought a Taylor myself, just a week ago, and I'm loving it... I'm also experimenting with recording it...
I'm looking into the Fishman Aura pedals that are just about to come out.
Interesting study to hear these different versions of this one piece, Bill.

THANKS Bob &mdash 05/19/07 - 06:36:55 PM
ED for posting. I don't know I thing about the Fishman Aura pedals.
I'll have to email you and ask you about it if you don't come back to this post.
Thanks much for telling me about it, maybe we bought the Taylors about the same time ?

Wow &mdash 05/21/07 - 04:19:19 AM
Such a mellow and nice sound you've got there! Sounds like this guitar is a sheer joy to play on, it floats on so nicely (or it is your playing that does the trick :) .. Anyway I bet it is a very inspiring to play!

Thanks Cori &mdash 05/21/07 - 07:50:15 AM
After playing the steel string for so long, the nylon strings are kind of a holiday.
Thanks again! [ Reply to This ]
Mellow &mdash 05/21/07 - 12:48:11 PM
Love the new guitar! I have thought about getting a nylon string guitar to ease the fingers. This has a beautiful tone. Very balanced between treble and bass. Great playing as always. [ Reply to This ]

Hi Bill - &mdash 05/22/07 - 07:35:37 AM
I'm glad I stopped by - thi sounds great. The set-up seems about perfect to me - but the real beauty is in your playing. Nice work. I'm planning a trip to Italy in July and this is nice dreaming music. Thanks for posting. [ Reply to This ]
Sweet &mdash 05/22/07 - 08:39:06 AM
Enjoy your playing. Sensitive with a nice combination of both Spanish and fingerpicking. [ Reply to This ]
Real Nice.............. &mdash 05/22/07 - 10:19:46 PM
the intro was beautiful but when that finger pickin started, you took my breath away. Like a blend of Leo Kotke, classical, and a bit of Spain. I'd say the new mics worked out pretty well. The sound is terrific. [ Reply to This ]

Finally! &mdash 05/23/07 - 08:05:46 PM
Sorry for being so slack in listening Bill, but I've finally started through my backlog of your tunes. This sounds really beautifully recorded and played on my system - very nicely done. The new setup sounds good (although I really liked the other one too).

Just fine &mdash 06/16/07 - 09:55:06 AM
I haven't heard any previous versions there may have been but in any case this sounds really good. Nice mellow tone. Sounds like a very nice Taylor you have there especially when complemented by your superb finger work.
