Sweet is good! &mdash 05/20/07 - 01:22:50 PM
Yes, sweet and hopeful, with just a hint of wistfulness in there. Really pretty guitar work, as usual. [ Reply to This ]

Very sweet indeed! But from the heart, as always. Very pretty, soulful. For some reason, it seems to me like this could be used in a movie. Make a movie! [ Reply to This ]
sweet? &mdash 05/20/07 - 01:40:33 PM
has to much power and directness to be overly sweet. :-)
what more can one say. excellent playing and recorded right up front. [ Reply to This ]

I love the subtlety of your playing on this piece. Every note sounds just beautiful. The music really resonates. Great guitar recording and playing. This needs nothing. [ Reply to This ]

But you also have a power and a dynamic range that keeps it from becoming too cliche. This is like the sweets and tea after the hot curry meal. A welcome change of pace. [ Reply to This ]
Nice change-up... &mdash 05/20/07 - 03:36:21 PM
...and not so radical as you might think...
It still has your signature sense of pacing and your distinctive feel for melody and harmony...
I'm listening to this one on my headphones, and the guitar sound you're getting is very beautiful and present. It doesn't sound artificial at all, but big, deep, full and resonant...
And your phrasing always sounds very vocal... it's easy to imagine words being sung to this...

Not too sweet &mdash 05/20/07 - 05:54:26 PM
and it has a touch of longing that I can identify with. Thanks Curry, for another fine piece.
God bless,

You make the Yamaha sound so smooth Curry. This sounds like something I could learn to play (if I had a spare year or two), but I doubt I could ever get the feeling you do. Part of your talent is technical, but so much more is heart.
Lovely,

Lovely blend of melancholy with a touch of hope. How do you come up with these inspired chord sequences? [ Reply to This ]

always impressed by your ability to make the guitar sing like this. pretty melody and chord progression and the guitar sounds amazing. i'm stunned at the tone you got out of the nylon string, i can never get one to record like that. you are doing something very very right. [ Reply to This ]

So easy to run out of things to say to you about your songs, talent and delivery on the guitar...
So, soon I am short of more words to say to you. This is a warm, loving piece; love in the giving of your heart to music, love from all of us that listen,
Thanks.

You've done a concert.... &mdash 05/22/07 - 11:41:21 PM
You've given it your all, the audience is dancing on the chairs, you've even played two encores that had them all jumping with their hands high, and yet they want more.
That's when you play this one. It's the perfect cool down track to send everyone home with a totally blissful feeling. After this there is nothing left to say, there is no conceivable note that can add anything to what this track tells the listener. It says it all.
Lovely stuff.

Not that you need to be told, but you can really play.
Well-done, Cori.

Nice... Like the pause that refreshes, like the cool water after a hot hike, this guitar soothes a weary soul. [ Reply to This ]
