you're about to enter the Hamlet mchines dud alert zone. I rather liked the lyrics on that one, tried four our five different musics on it without ever making it right. For somes reasons I've always had to struggle with the singing.

There's something special about this one. Some interesting sounds and the song has an overall good feel.
The vocals at the start were a little difficult to hear/understand. But that's only nit-picking.

I agree these lyrics are rather wonderful. You have such an enviable style when writing about relationships. Somehow, I can't help feel sorry for the poor guy, even though he's got one thing on his dirty mind. It's still poetic.
The music sounds perfectly connected to the lyrics/vocals. I wonder what the struggle was, because I don't see a mis-fit (you misfit). I particularly like your brief intro. A very good idea. I think this has placed second on my list of favorite second bests.
Maybe you were thinking too hard about this, like you've advised me on a recent song. It just sounds like another good downloaded HM song to me. Keep 'em coming!

Maybe I got tired of trying different things with this song, of which there are three or four completely different versions. But as far as songwriting goes,a six-line verse is harder to manage than a six-pack.
The theme is a bit the same as "bicycle face", "little black riding hood" or "vintage lover" and I'm afraid there is more to come. It's always fun to find new twists to a cliché.

were the vocals perfect for the music ? I never felt at ease with this one. Maybe because it's less straighforward than our usual material. I'm glad you liked it.
