Description:
This is a remix of Packosmokes "Beautiful Machine." The song remains the same, but we've been experimenting (read: fighting) with GB to try and achieve better masters. Be critical, be kind, be good enough to leave any tips you might have!
Lyrics:
Got the disease, initiate the remedy
Built up as a trap, seeking out my immunity
Pulsing with the sin from within, they injected me
Seething with the strain and the pain, I'm in agony
Picking up all of the fall and the tragedy
Have to replace every trace of what isn't me
Compassion never found any ground for the likes of me
Got the disease, initiate the remedy
Feeling all the hate, this is not what I want to be
Now, I realize I'm my own worst enemy
No one is to blame for the shame, I'm not what I seem
Goth the disease, initiate the remedy
Seething with the strain and the pain, I'm in agony
Pulsing with the sin from within, they injected me
Built up as a trap, seeking out my immunity
Got the disease, initiate the remedy
Welcome to my world
Step inside my dream
Create my fantasy
Beautiful Machine
I want so much more
Kill my reality
Give me what I need

packo's girlfriend's vocals &mdash 08/17/04 - 03:32:56 PM
they sound a little odd... maybe they need to be a little
more similar to the quality of packo's... when she's solo.
otherwise, great mix, very smooth and professional.
awesome vocals.

comparatively this new version has a lot more BANG!
actually Scarlette's vocals have that same different quality
in the original too. it almost has too much presence.
little typo in your lyrics btw.. 3rd stanza. [ Reply to This ]

Zap my temples! &mdash 08/17/04 - 08:02:35 PM
Man, I love it when the Van de Graf generator lights up in
stereo and ignites my temples. Up to that point, the sound
was mostly center stage. What a trip! Sounds especially
good on my Sennheiser earphones. Good job, crew. Keep
the fantasy alive! [ Reply to This ]
..& i thot v2 was great &mdash 08/18/04 - 12:20:36 AM
really polished things up chiko. the changes are subtle
but still definitive-nice work! ..on a side note-i've been
having trouble getting some of your tunes to stream even
tho they show as 'active' [ Reply to This ]
improved &mdash 08/18/04 - 09:05:07 AM
The mix seems better balanced now (not that it was at all
bad before...). More polished and professional.
I really like all the little hooks popping in and out, spices
things up nicely. Great driving beat, but not overbearing.
The vocals are generally very good, but as pengy pointed
out, the quality of SCARLETT's voice is quite different
when she's solo.
Truly excellent job overall. Pretty much radio ready. [ Reply to This ]
Aural Excitement &mdash 08/18/04 - 06:52:56 PM
Jehosaphat chik dude, you really can squeeze a lot out of
your rig.. You have got some good raw material with a
track like this but it's impressive what you have done to it.
All hail to the remix king. [ Reply to This ]

So awsome! Hints of 'Berlin' (old school) as well as
tragically new!! I love this!

Yeah bayyybeee. I loved it before, and it's even more
polished. [ Reply to This ]
Great production &mdash 08/20/04 - 09:59:33 PM
I like the mix. It's amazing that you did it all in
Garageband. The lyrics are really good as is the guitar.
Actually, the guitar is awesome! And I love the girl's
vocals too. [ Reply to This ]
Great Indus base, cleaner mix &mdash 08/21/04 - 02:29:45 AM
Already commented previous version.
as Ka-Klick says this one is "more polished"
It serves well this song which I appreciate
a lot for its originality. [ Reply to This ]
Excellent &mdash 08/23/04 - 11:04:44 AM
Excellent production, CD ready. Great sound. Absolutely
consistent concept, integrated arrangement and lyrics.
Great. (Female vocals in a different dimension makes
perfect sense to me in this piece, adds to the story line. I
imagined she was the fantasy... The blending of the
machine metaphor with the reality of the machine
production is what makes this so brilliant!) Perfect
production (even tho the constant bass drum drives me
crazy... which is the point, I suspect). [ Reply to This ]
Heyo... &mdash 09/06/04 - 08:14:13 AM
It sounds a lot better. Though when I was listening to it at
a rather high volume, the guitars were starting to grate
my nerves a little. Otherwise, it's great. [ Reply to This ]
Reznor any one? &mdash 10/02/04 - 05:44:22 PM
This for some reason it makes me think of what the
product would be if NIN and KMFD could procreate. I
would have gone for a rinkey tinkey sequencey bit over
the guitar, but that's my taste for you. I really liked it,
thought it got off to a bit of a slow start but once
everything got going it was a masterpiece (couldn't think
of a better word I've been face first in a computer all day) [ Reply to This ]
Scarlettes vocals &mdash 11/01/04 - 06:11:26 AM
She has a nice tone .
But I think a more soulful approach would suit this track, almost a KMFDM style would rock it.

Rockin' &mdash 12/21/04 - 03:59:09 PM
It's a builder alright - but when it gets there it kicks.
Great vocal. Music to kill to :-) [ Reply to This ]
Cool tune &mdash 01/14/05 - 01:12:20 AM
Great powerful sound. Love the vocals. Sounds like
maybe the mp3 is a little over compressed as I could hear
some compression artifacting on the high end, particularly
on the female vocals. [ Reply to This ]
Nicely aggressive &mdash 03/27/05 - 02:23:26 PM
The song as such I can take or leave, but I'm very
impressed by the production of this track. Alternating
dense and sparse passages, distorted and clean sounds,
creative panning; this is seriously good stuff. 7-9-8-8 [ Reply to This ]
Wicked Good ! &mdash 06/11/05 - 12:10:13 AM
The test &mdash 08/18/05 - 03:36:24 PM
This is still one of my favorite MacJams. It passes the test
of time. Ignites my temples! [ Reply to This ]
nice &mdash 11/19/05 - 09:34:25 AM
very NIN beat, like the vocals. kind of a grungy, metal style of vocal style that sounds cool. i like how the female vocals fit in, they give a nice contrast to the make vocals. [ Reply to This ]
