Description:
like "fall for grace", I liked the lyrics but never managed to sing them confidently and correctly.

Lyrics:
On the desert avenues
Where we used to belong
I think about the news
And about other things I’ve not thought of for long
I remember that much
The overexposed days
The shadow of a touch
And how we laughed at words like lovers and always

But when they talked of you
And of what you became
I denied I knew you
Or even knew your name (x2)

On the lonely banksides
When we used to get bored
And talk about suicides
Or about how many boys-a-week you had scored
I remember little
The neverending day
The fingers that fumble
Your two favorite words were never and away

So when they talked of you
And of what you became
I denied I knew you
Or even knew your name (x2)

Great Story &mdash 05/23/07 - 10:09:28 AM
This is a great story, unless you're him. How many more Second Bests are there?

CJ - you never run out of ideas. You're my hero.

three or four more and you're done. But this could mean Monggsonggz coming...

the fur's Imitation of Christ blended with the House of Love's Christine. I think there's also a Banshees song called Christine.

...and a KISS song, which is an obvious influence in your art and music.

In fact, I would go as far as to say that you are the Doctor Love of Mac Jams.

i love the change when it gets to the chorus. i think the vocals are good, maybe a little quiet in the mix. the ending is beautiful, i wish that it went on instrumentally for another couple of minutes.

I was never completely at ease with this song. The voice, and it levels, reflect my shyness about it. I'm glad it's got good points, though.

was thinking that your voice reflected a certain tentativeness. mostly at the beginning of the first verse.

clean drums &mdash 05/24/07 - 04:17:37 AM
we like them that way because we use it noisy dirty guitars and it gives the song some sort of shape and backbone.

cristine &mdash 06/18/07 - 06:32:19 AM
having never heard a song about a cristine, I like the title and how it works with your lyrics.

What's to be shy about? I know your character is hesitant to talk about Cristine, but no reason for the singing to be fadin into the background, in my opinion.

I like the story, too. Intrigued to know what exactly she did become.

the hesitation comes from the fact I wasn't at ease with the vocal melody and having to cram those long lines into it. it was recorded two years ago or something, and I'd probably be less shy about it today.

Christine is an imaginary character so whatever happened to her is left to your imagination.
