Description:
Song about a tide. in progress
Lyrics:
This is it
It is where I am standing
There is just no way I could deal with this now
I'm here
Until i'll later realise
Shall i just let all go, all go in peace?
Tide will never fail to visit to greet once in a while
Tide is always gonna raise above to caress you in the arms
Tide will draw into and beckon you to the center of his heart
Tide is always gonna surge into and rock you on his hands
Wave will break through whatever guilt you are through
Wave will scrub off doubtful words on your sand
Tide will never fail to visit to greet once in a while
Tide is always gonna raise above to kiss you in the arms
Tide will draw into and beckon you to the center of his heart
Tide is always gonna surge into and rock you on his hands
Wave won't tolerate whatever anguish you're in
Wave will shatter through doubtful words on your sand
+ (mixed with below introverse +- verse)
Tide will never fail to visit to greet once in a while
Tide is always gonna raise above to caress you in the arms
Tide will never fail to visit to greet once in a while
Tide is always gonna raise above to kiss you in the arms
+
This is it
It is where I am standing
There is just no way I could deal with this now
I'm here
Until i'll have realised
Shall i just let all go, all go in peace?

good one Hn (perhaps more Pop(Alt)): what struck me was the very nice gradual build and I particularily liked the restrained use of your particularily phenomenal vocal range here, hitting those high sweet spots at all the right er .. spots - just er .. right. :)
You've gone for making synths sound like waves, when
I would use 'real wave/tide' ebb flow sounds myself ..
but that's just a taste/style thing.
Only production thing I spotted was the vocals at the start might need a bit of snipping instead of relying on the gate (since they are so naked) you can hear the 'shhp' a bit ... nothing major needless to say.
the Noise gate(?) cutting in.
Great work as usual. [ Reply to This ]
I haven't been by for a while &mdash 05/23/07 - 06:44:07 PM
seems you've been busy lately. I really like this song - reminds me a little of Bjork. You've got a great voice - but beyond that - your musical sensibility is very interesting and liberated. Are you playing a melodica - or is it all synths? Glad I stopped by - I'll have to check out your other recent songs. [ Reply to This ]

quite a trance &mdash 05/23/07 - 07:32:41 PM
super vocals, and nice way to weave them into this building work of music.
Very relaxing listen, a wash of the tides, rise and fall.... Hello - goodbye

Because your worth it. &mdash 05/23/07 - 08:47:15 PM
There's a brilliant track here old boy. I listened to this through twice. The instrumental first minute drags. I say layer it or lose it. The angelic duet in the middle needs a lot of work...or something different. The first faultering verse is captured gently with feeling. I love the hollis sound on the mike and you do it justice. The tide in the soundscape is perfection. The lead bass to the kicker feels off beat. This is a shame because when it does kick in it's very sweet indeed. The grooves lock and the vocal's top notch.
This is Pod Bound.

There are so many good things in this song that I don't think I can even name them all....so far no one's mentioned your brilliant lyrics. Perfect. A friend of mine played melodica, so that also seems lovely to me here. The musical build is great. I love the duet of your voices at the climax.
It's really easy to enjoy your vocal pieces because you let your passion carry your voice wherever it would take it. No wonder you have a big range. Your lyrics reflect this musical freedom, too. And I think that's what you have in common with, like someone said, Bjork (a favorite of mine) - it is that you give yourself that freedom.
Very well done! [ Reply to This ]

The vocals here are enchanting. Simple accompaniment is right on. I can feel the waves of the tide :)

Very cool track. You do things your way. The beginning is unusual, some strange instruments, very sparse drums. The result is a great atmosphere.
Good work.
