Description
I spent a lot of time working on an abstract sound collage rather than making a song cause the loop drove me a little nuts – but I finally gave in to this little ditty. Sections of the other piece made it in – so it wasn’t a total waste of time. Well – maybe. I’ll let you decide.
The piano loop is pretty much intact. The tempo is based on the train bell timing, and the train has been sped up, cut up, looped, reversed, pitched and otherwise mangled to supplement the rhythm track.
I’m more familiar with subways than I am with trains. Here’s a morning commute observation.
Thanks to Chikoppi for the guest host opportunity and to SmokeyVW for finding the train loop at The Freesound Project http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=25068

Lyrics
I saw her riding on the F train one morning
Standing there with her hair
Put up and falling down
Was there some effort to this careless arrangement
Or is it just what it does
When it’s left on it’s own
Her bag hung low off of one shoulder
And it pulled her skirt a little up her thigh
She wore knee-high boots
They were suede and they were brown
And her denim clad arm
Wrapped loosley round the pole
Standing there with her hair
Put up and falling down
Was there some effort to this careless arrangement
Or is it just what it does
When it’s left on it’s own
Her bag hung low off of one shoulder
And it pulled her skirt a little up her thigh
She wore knee-high boots
They were suede and they were brown
And her denim clad arm
Wrapped loosley round the pole

Bud, that's great. at one point it sounds like the train is harmonizing with your vocals ("put up and falling down"). this is like some crazy Young Americans era Bowie. The thin white duke, all coked up and waiting for a train. it's cool seeing what people did with this stuff. excellent work.
