Description:
Nearly 10 years ago, I wrote music for my friend Marco Klaue's debut album, ArtIFact. Marco always said I could do my own version of the songs I helped write, but I never really got around to it until now. "This is Me" is one of the songs I did music to Marco's lyrics. I used the original tapes, added or redid a bunch of things. Tried doing the lead vocal myself. The full story is on my blog: http//web.mac.com/... .

Hardware:
The original tracks were recorded by Marco's brother Dan on an old PowerMac running Logic. He had a special interface I'd never seen before or since. I used a MOTO 828 to record new vocal and guitar tracks. The guitar is processed through a Line6 Pod (with extra processing in Logic). I recorded the vocals with some Samson ShureSM57 clone mic.

I really like this. The guitar work is superb. Your unique vox suits this tune. Whoa! Flute just came in...how cool! Love the way the flute and violin play off each other as the tension builds...this is awesome man!
