Very baroque! &mdash 05/26/07 - 03:16:19 PM
Nice song! Sounds like a choral, and I think that matches with your intention!

Which old renaissance painting?

Thank you for sharing!

Greetings,

Good atmosphere &mdash 05/26/07 - 06:27:32 PM
That combination of brass and strings always does the trick, and it does so here. It definitely conveys a stately, majestic mood. Mission accomplished, I'd say. The parts are also nicely independent, which I always appreciate.

Majestic indeed &mdash 05/26/07 - 11:19:50 PM
Very nicely written. Like Vic said, I like it when you write separate melody lines for the strings and brass, instead of just lockng them together in chords... you did nicely with that. The only bad thing is that the trills in strings and horns don't sound very good with the sampled instruments... but that is not your fault. You just need a real orchestra to perform it :-)

I see a courtly assembly... &mdash 05/27/07 - 02:04:13 PM
...as a kind hearted and benevolent monarch proclaims peace over a troubled land. This has a kind of sweet joyous hopefulness to it that I really enjoyed especially as your horn section with its fast playing notes triumphantly proclaims peace for all.
Thank you for sharing such a lovely work Feter.

Like the &mdash 05/28/07 - 08:11:26 AM
varying sounds of the French horn and synth strings. It is nice to be brought back into time. I can almost see the dashing young ladies dancing a formal dance with their beloveds. In the dance of that era which is so appropriate here in this tune.
It's funny how we each derive such different ideas than sometimes our listeners. But I enjoyed reading your description as well. Cool painting discription.
Way to go

I am not surprised... &mdash 05/28/07 - 09:19:27 AM
...that you have, once again, created a soundscape that is so natural and so compelling. You have such a nice feel for the baroque spirit and it comes through delightfully here with an eloquent brush of horns and strings. I hear this as a promenade of sorts--majestic yet peaceful. ... I, too, would like to hear this developed more, perhaps a "B" section for strings alone and then a reprise. The material is so rich. I'd encourage you to mine it.
Peace.
Paul

for more parts within ..again ..thank you
for stop by and have the time to listen
and do such kind comments ....realy appreciated

So nice Feter... &mdash 05/29/07 - 01:45:04 PM
Rennaissance was the time through discovery of analytic thought in art and science, Europe came out of the dark ages, and experienced freedom. This is totally in that spirit Feter, a very nice Rennaissance piece indeed, it really celebrates the seeing of the divine in nature, and the human capability to express it.

Even with the limitations of the sampled instruments, the excellence of this piece comes right through. Like others have said, I'd love to hear this performed by an actual ensemble. A very intricate and enjoyable peice.

Kinda' reminds me &mdash 06/06/07 - 04:27:47 AM
This piece reminds me of a score Paul McCartney and George Martin did for a movie called the The Family Way?, I think that was the title. Really enjoyed and well-done. I'm a little bit out of my element here(classisal), but I'm a fan of pretty much all forms of music. Can't really give advice, but I think the production was very well-done.
See ya'
