Nice pop song &mdash 05/29/07 - 09:46:55 PM
Some people have recently commented to me that I should let my voice be heard with fewer effects - something i tend to avoid, due to a lack of confidence in my singing - and I kind of feel somewhat hypocritical saying the same thing to you! But I do think you should try letting your voice be heard with less manipulation. This is a nice song - with a catchy hook. Nice work. Peace.

hey dajama &mdash 06/04/07 - 09:23:54 PM
if you can hit the notes (not flat or sharp) heck, i say let it all hang out.... though EVERYBODY deserves a SMALL touch of reverb. So I've been told....

Thanks Dajama &mdash 05/30/07 - 05:34:09 AM
glad you like the song, but you know I only did a double track on the voice with chorus and some echo for the songs sake, because it's such a full sounding backing.....and because I needed to sound younger as well LOL. At my great age I need all the help I can get, though when I was young I needed nothing but a mike. I miss the Mike and amp I used to have when I was performing, where I could adjust the tone settings properly. I seem to be limited with this Mike and G'band and having a deepish voice it needs a lift with some reverb/echo.
You've no need to worry at all about your voice which is nice and clear... and youthful LOL, but one should use whatever aids are best for the sound of the songs anyway. I've no criticism of your voice at all except it could be a touch louder. I may let you hear my unadulterated dulcet tones in some future song though,.... and you might be sorry too LOL, M

I have to agree with dajama &mdash 06/04/07 - 09:20:54 PM
Your voice may not be what it once was. Whose is?
Nothing wrong with an older sounding voice. After all it's pretty hard to fake that, and the age lends a certain atmosphere that can be appealing, too.

And I would say to try to sing AGAINST the musical melody backing you, that is, You sing, the instruments answer, or vice versa. it'll do wonders for you. IMHO.

Hi Jamorama &mdash 06/12/07 - 07:23:52 PM
Thanks for the comments, your right about age adding something of its own, but it's like a slippery slope LOL and one day the 'singing' voice won't be there atall. I'll just have to start reciting my poems at that point.
I recall a girl years ago complaining that I had frauded when I won an amater talent contest, because I had used an 'echo unit' ( as they were called at the time), but I had to inform her, that if I had hit any 'bum' notes, they too would have been echoed LOL.

I'd given up on this one, hence the delay in answering you. Nice of you to leave a comment, M
